Wonderful property in really safe location

I stayed here for three nights with my two teenage sons. Perfectly situated for visiting Los Angeles, and the apartment (more a self contained villa really) was beautiful, well equipped and in a amazing and safe neighbourhood. It even had a small private garden area (saw a hummingbird amongst the flowers) and a sun trap courtyard. 100% would recommend staying here and I would stay there again should I ever return. Host contact was superb. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Idyllic refuge during an LA heatwave.

This property oozes Hollywood charm and atmosphere. It proved an ideal base for a three-night stay. Perfectly located for Universal Studios, Hollywood Boulevard and the Sunset Strip, it was also painless drive to the coast (much needed as temperatures crept towards 40 degrees centigrade). Frances was a great host: check-in was straightforward and the property had everything you would need including - importantly - a good filter coffee machine and a powerful shower. Near Mulholland drive and with views of the Hollywood sign, this was a unique and memorable stay.

Beautifully presented, wonderful host and fabulous location

Stayed here for six days to celebrate my 50th birthday with my family. Check in was a piece of cake with excellent communication from Frances our host. The property is very well appointed and very stylish. It is well maintained and beautifully clean. We had everything we needed to enjoy a great stay - we were actually sad to leave. The location is fabulous, with incredible views and easy access to the city. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Perfect Hollywood experience

The property is very comfortable (especially the beds) and has a cool vibe. It’s the perfect oasis in the Hollywood Hills above the LA mayhem. We felt we were living the true LA lifestyle for a few days - Runyan Canyon, Griffith Park and Observatory, Universal Studios, Hollywood bowl and all the Hollywood highlights very close by. It was surprisingly spacious and the bathroom was very well set up for family use. It really did feel like home and I miss it already. Thank you Frances. Angela

Return visit to Hollywood Hills

This was our second stay at Frances’s property and it was fantastic. It’s such a great base for a visit to LA and after all the excitement you can return each evening to a quiet comfortable home with stunning views.

I am a European journalist who has been covering Hollywood for over 30 years. My life and privilege have been to interview and learn from every major Hollywood talent: their dreams, ups and downs, successes and failures. Here is where I interviewed Hollywood stars from Catherine Zeta-Jones to Arnold Schwarzenegger just to name a few. The property has been used for fashion shots and as a movie set. For me, Los Angeles means sunshine, blue wide-open sky, diversity of people, natural wonders, individuality, unimaginable cuisine and a "The sky is the limit" attitude. What I love about my property is the location: far away and yet so close to the hustle and bustle of Hollywood.

Why they chose this property

As soon as I came to Los Angeles, my dream was to live on Mulholland Drive which - for me - is as historic as a cathedral in a European city. MULHOLLAND DRIVE is a painting by David Hockney. The movie MULHOLLAND DRIVE by David Lynch was an international success and last but not least Tom Petty refers to “Glide down over Mulholland" in the hit song FREE FALLIN'.
