This magnificent old Andalucian style apartment situated in the heart of Puerto Banus has breathtaking views of the Marina and Mediterranean coast. Only a few steps away are the yachting marina, two superb beaches,shops, night-clubs,quaint restaurants and designer boutiques.Just a five minute walk away,one can find a communal pool with marvellous facilities such as a restaurant / bar, shop,showers, sun loungers, etc..
The apartment is 50 minutes drive from Malaga airport and 6 kilometres from Marbella. It is 1.5 hours from the historic city of Granada.
The Costa de Sol is the most popular all year round tourist destination in Europe. It has miles of golden sandy beaches and is a golfers paradise. The nearest golf club is less than a mile away and all the famous golf courses are within easy reach. The average water temperature is 18c (and 24c in August). Sunbathing is possible in the winter months too.
There are numerous places of historical interest nearby. The Moorish city of Granada with Its Alhambra Palace and gardens, one of the most brilliant jewels of universal architecture is approximately 1.5 hours drive. Europe's sunniest ski resort, the Sol y Nieve in the Sierra Nevada, host of the 1996 'world Ski Championships' is located 45 minutes drive from Granada city. The Costa del Sol is at the forefront of Europe for sailing with its excellent marinas and invaluable berthing capacities, these include Puerto Banus, Marbella, Estepona, Duguesa, etc..
The general infrastructure in the region has improved. The completion of the new highway has greatly reduced the travel time from Malaga to Gibraltar. There are more than 55 golf courses in Andalusia and 30 of these are on the Costa del Sol. This white washed Spanish Pueblo style apartment is surrounded by golf courses. Each course offering its own kind of challenges on excellent fairways and perfect greens.
Had I known about the 2 dozen steps leading to the apartment block entrance I would not have booked this property and would have missed out on a great holiday location. From the moment we arrived at the airport and telephoned Marcus, our contact to collect the keys, everything moved like clockwork. There is an underground car park right opposite the apartment block entrance and once up to street level there are small shops and/or a supermarket for all your provisions. The entrance hall to the apartments is beautiful and there are two lifts serving the upper floors. Once we opened the door of our apartment and looked out across the many boats in the marina and beyond to the open sea we were mesmerised by the view and perfect setting. The lounge is large and bright with a great galley kitchen but for me the more than adequate balcony was the best. There is plenty of room for four people to wine and dine on the balcony overlooking the picturesque roof tops whilst enjoying the sunshine or night time lights. The main bedroom is en-suite (shower only) whilst the second bedroom has a separate shower room.
The location is superb and less than a minutes’ walk (once the steps have been negotiated) to the marina, designer shops, bars and restaurants. A few minutes’ walk in either direction will take you to one of the local beaches that we spent a few hours on even in December. There are various cuisines available to suit all tastes but the prices on the first row reflect the fabulous location.
Although there is plenty to do and see in Banus it is well worth hiring a car and is great value. Oh! Should you use the car park buy a weekly ticket; the daily rate was 29€ and weekly 47€.
Overall a wonderful well-appointed apartment in a fantastic location with views that one would never tire of. Highly recommended and despite the steps I would rent again.
We were a party of three all in our early sixties.
Went with 4 girlfriends for a birthday celebration in January and would recommend it for a fun time. Enjoyed proximity to bars, marina restaurants and designer shopping. Saturday market was good too. Furnishings are basic but apartment was spacious, clean and had everything we needed with fabulous marina views. The rep who met us there was pleasant, efficient and helpful. I'd recommend Da Paolo for lunch and Aretusa and Chateau Mona Lisa for dinner.
We stayed here August bank holiday weekend and it is in an excellent location for all the delights of Puerto Banus.
The apartment was very spacious and the representative who met us was extremely helpful.
I would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay there again.
The property was clean and well maintained if a little basic. The location was absolutley ideal for exploring Puerto Banus bars and restaurants. The owner was couteous and responded with requests for information and support quickly. We would use again and reccomed to singles or couples looking for a convienant location as a base to look into what Puerto Banus has to offer.

Golf: The concentration of quality courses, the unique sunny and warm climate, and the hospitality of the local people make the area absolutely ideal for golf lovers. When Valderrama was chosen to host the 'Ryder Cup' in 1997, the Costa del Sol received worldwide recognition as being the best 'Winter Golf Resort in Europe'. The final honour was the selection of Valderrama to host the 'World Championship'. in November 1999.
