You earned your vacation - You deserve the best - so you and your family deserve the Theatre on the Beach on St. Croix.
A proud participant in HomeAway's Best Kitchen Contest!
Come down and enjoy the absolutely amazing view - there is nothing between you and the ocean but 40 feet of white sand and 2 palm trees.
We guarantee that when you open the door to the Theatre on the Beach - you will be blown away.
After admiring the view - admire our stunningly beautiful Kitchen, Master and Guest Bedrooms, Master and Guest Bathrooms, and our Plus with it's hand painted Mural of Palm Trees. Just adorable.
Granite counters, amazing amounts of storage in the kitchen, top-of-the-line stove, fridge, dishwasher, washer and dryer, and appliances. Central Air Conditioning - natch! Cooking with a view - why not?
In the Master Bathroom there's a fab double headed shower - Massage heads on one side, rain shower with rain shower hand held on the other, granite counter tops (of course) - and a Toto toilet. In the Guest Bathroom we've gone old school - luxury relaxing tub, shower and massage shower head, and granite counter top. Check out the pictures... it's so lovely.
Additional amenities (like you need more) - Local soaps and shampoos provided in our luxury bathrooms, nightly turn-down service, and depending on the time of year - Breakfast on the Beach.
More Fun at the Theatre - 60' HDTV with Satellite TV (over 200 channels), Blu-ray disk and DVD player - and now 2 fun Free Kayaks for you to enjoy - the Sunny Side - our Bright Yellow Tandam Kayak, and Yellow Frenzy - one person Kayak.
What is our PLUS? It's our hidden extra bedroom with it's palm tree mural. Not only do you have an over-sized Master bedroom (with fab view of the beach and ocean), a lovely Guest bedroom with a queen sized bed and lovely view of our gardens, but there's an extra room with 2 twin beds - excellent for overflow - or just close the door - you are down to 2 bedrooms (with office space if you'd like).
And if you are wondering where the name Theatre on the Beach comes from - its to honor our extensive Caribbean themed DVD collection. And a selection of my favorite videos if you want something besides Caribbean. Plus - we've have unlimited FREE high speed internet - bring your own laptop and the internet access is on us.
So if you've decided on St. Croix - choosing the Theatre should be an easy decision!
Called the Surprising Virgin - St. Croix is a wonderful mixture of the laid back character of St. John and the hub-bub of St. Thomas. And because it's large enough to have it's own farms and industry, prices are not outrageous! In fact, local fruits and vegetables are actually quite a bargain.
Theatre on the Beach (unit 215) is located at Sugar Beach resort - just five minutes by taxi from Christiansted, but a world away from the noise, bars and nightlife. It's peace and quiet with an ocean front. Our 400 feet of sandy beach front means lots of room for everyone to play, our large free-form swimming pool beckons, and of course there's also tennis on site.
Our unofficially onsite restaurant - Breeze's - is one of St. Croix most popular - and it's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Just don't miss trying a Mongoose - it's one of the most refreshing tropical drinks I've ever enjoyed.
Theatre on the Beach isn't just fully furnished, it's professionally decorated to make your stay not just relaxing, but fun as well. It's just 6 steps up from the parking to our front door. Modern, comfortable, wonderfully decorated (Thea Alvin - our decorator and good friend - was featured in the November 2013 issue of 'O' magazine), with tons of extra amenities. (sigh - just describing it makes me what to visit!)
We've put in every appliance you can imagine, Gourmet kitchen utensils - upscale pots and pans - even Caribbean themed dishes are yours to enjoy. Even better, Theatre on the Beach has ceiling fans in every room - in additional to our central and super efficient AC system - not that you'll need it with the huge 30' private porch that gives you your amazing view of palm trees and ocean.
Just drop us a line to check availability and make your reservation in Paradise!
We wanted an island get-away forever - but most islands just didn't feel safe enough - that is until we set foot on St. Croix. This is the perfect island - it's US - and yet Caribbean. The ocean, the sun, the sand - all perfect - and yet there's a KMart, real grocery stores, even a Home Depot. You can visit a rain forest, a desert, and then the ocean. All within an hour. Perfect.
Leslie Eiser purchased this condo in 2004
Sugar Beach is right on the ocean. Nothing between you and the water but 40 feet of sand - and 2 palm trees. Plus it's fast and easy to get to Christiansted - adorable city with tons of great restaurants. We are seriously fussy about food - and these are seriously good.
The View, the kitchen, the people, the place, the sun, the sea - it's all special. And we love it.
We loved staying here. The staff was wonderful. The grounds keeper was so nice! He cut us down some coconuts and opened them up so we could drink the coconut water. The Security Guard was so friendly and he loves the Cincinnati Reds - so that was a plus :) Ching Ching was fantastic at the front office.
One of the most interesting things was the various Jewelry stores and Souvenir Shops that offer free Alcohol sampling without limit (pretty much). We cannot say enough about how wonderful Karin was at Royal Jewels. She was so genuine and brought us such joy.
All in all this was an amazing vacation. The weather was fabulous, the ocean spectacular and life is grand. We are very fortunate to have been given an opportunity to experience this magnificent island. Thanks for an amazing vacation. We will be back!
We stayed at Theater on the Beach Nov 9-16, 2007. We enjoyed the condo and the property with it's beautiful beach and interior. The entertainment center was fun and we definately liked having the wireless internet available for emailing home, making arrangements, etc. We had the beach to our selves most of the week as we were before the busy season. St Croix is much nicer and more enjoyable than St Thomas. We spent our first week on St Thomas, but enjoyed St Croix sooo much more. Much more relaxed and easy to get around (with a rental from Judi's) Snorkling Buck Island was great. Highly recommend Leslie and Theater on the Beach!
My husband, 12 year old son and I recently spent Spring Break 2015 visiting the beautiful island of St. Croix while staying at The Theater on the Beach Condo located in the Sugar Beach Resort. This condo was everything the owner describes it to be on this site and more. It is well maintained and fully equipped with all you need to spend a truly relaxing time on St. Croix. The condo was extremely comfortable for us and could have easily accommodated 2 - 3 more guests quite comfortably as well. The trade winds off the beach were beautiful and the condo was roomy and spacious. The grounds of Sugar Beach are equally beautiful and very well maintained. The staff were all pleasant, courteous, professional and available. Only problem we had was finding the Sugar Beach Condo Resort. It's tucked away which makes it very quiet and peaceful but also a bit difficult to find when we first arrived on the island. Overall this was one of our most favorite vacations, and we vacation often! We plan to go back to Theater of the Beach and to St. Croix again in the future. Check it all out, you will not be disappointed.
Everything was exactly as pictured...very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The best part of being on Sugar Beach is the ocean view. Being on the second floor we had the privacy and safety we were looking for, along with a spectacular view of the ocean. Breakfast in our PJ's on the lanai is the best! Spent most of our time just reading, relaxing and forgetting the -17 below temps that we missed back in Chicago. Leslie was easy to work with and the staff at Sugar Beach was very accommodating for any of our questions or needs. As we arrived after hours, Andre' (the guard) met us and opened up the unit for us and was very helpful.
One of our favorite restaurants on the Boardwalk is Angry Nates. Consistently good food. Try "Prime Rib Wednesday" when they serve a 3 course dinner for $25.50...a real bargain. More food than an average person can eat and totally delicious! If you don't feel like driving, try Breezes Restaurant which is right next door.
For car rental, I'd advise against Judi of St. Croix. We used them for years and they were "exceptional", but they are now under different management. They never showed up for us at the airport, and didn't answer their phone for 45 minutes when we tried to call them. Needless to say, we contracted a car from another rental agency. Happy to say... that was the only glitch in a perfect vacation!
Many lovely beaches to visit on the island...Carambola beach is stunning. Go to Frederiksted when the cruise ships come in as they have lots of vendors, music and entertainment on the street.
Yes, we will return next year!
We arrived in St. Croix on January 17 for a 9 night stay at Theater on the Beach. Our party included 2 couples and 2 boys aged 10 and 12. The condominium is absolutely beautiful! We were very impressed with the updated kitchen, beautiful porch, and all of the sleeping accommodations. The beach is very quiet and the conch shells plentiful! My sister, her husband, and my 12 year old were snorkeling off the beach immediately. They saw huge shells, starfish, colorful fish, etc. There are hammocks and beach chairs for reading and relaxing. The pool at Sugar Bay was also a highlight of our stay. The 2 days we went to the pool we were the only people there. We comfortably floated and swam for 3+ hours. So clean, relaxing, and so wonderfully quiet!! As for St. Croix, this was our second trip to the Caribbean, but our first trip to this island. We rented a car so that we could see every beach we could possibly get to on the island, and we did. We loved being 5 minutes from downtown Christiansted. We ate downtown every night on the wharf. We never felt unsafe and the seafood and frozen drinks were incredible! We also ate at Breezes which is a restaurant on the adjacent property. It too, was good, but we enjoyed trying a new restaurant every night. Some of the highlights of our trip included: Davis Beach (every beach on the island is public), Sandy Pointe, Buck Island all and and half day snorkeling tours (We did one whole day and one half day adventure. The whole day adventure includes lunch, mahi mahi, burgers, and hot dogs. We loved it and that's why we did another half day trip!) We also took the ferry boat over to Cay Island for the delicious buffet, the fire dancers, moko jambies, and the broken glass show. My whole family participated in the show and we had a great time! We drove through the rain forest and stopped to view the beer drinking pigs (very funny). My husband and 2 sons kayaked at Sugar Beach. My sister, brother-in-law and I took a seaplane (HIGHLIGHT) to St. Thomas for the day to go diamond jewelry shopping! It was AWESOME!!!! The views from the plane were fantastic and it was an experience we will never forget. We truly love the US Virgin Islands for a family vacation! Theatre on the Beach is a beautiful condo and a great place to stay for a couple on a honeymoon or for a family of 6 like us. We had a fabulous vacation! Thanks so much!
Theater on The Beach is thoughtfully, tastefully, furnished. Leslie has done a wonderful job. This was an introductory trip to St. Croix for our group composed of 2 adult couples. The resort was quiet and appeared to be well kept. We had an opportunity to stay 2 nights in another unit prior to our stay in Theater On The Beach and the difference was night and day. The emphasized to us that all condos are not created equal. Grocery stores are close by and is a very decent restaurant on an adjacent property--an easy walk. There are many, many beautiful areas to see in St. Croix so rent a car and see the sights. Go to the numerous wonderful restaurants scattered throughout the island but leave time to get out on the water--warm and inviting. If you are wanting to stay close to Christiansted, this is a good choice-close enough but far enough away from the hub-bub. Leslie's guest books will give all the information you need-where to go, what to see and do and ultimately, how to relax.
This was our 2nd time at Theatre on The Beach. We brought out two adult children spouses and our grand baby and had a perfect vacation again. The remodels are beautiful ( kitchen looks great) the condo is responsive to our needs and Leslie is everything you would want in an owner. We are already booked for 2015. Love St Croix and this is the perfect place to stay!
Swimming (in the ocean right in front of the resort - or in our lovely fresh water pool), World Class Snorkeling/Scuba Diving, Duty free shopping, Bars/Nightlife in Christiansted, Hiking (from our Rain forest to our desert!), Brand New Divi Casino is 20 minutes away
