Overview

Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday villa in Fajardo - Palma Vista Penthouse Villa

Luxurious Beachfront Villa, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Full Bathrooms, Panoramic Views

This is the best two-level Penthouse Villa available for rental at Palma Vista and the views and ambience from the Penthouse Terrace are never to be forgotten.

The VRBO BEAR stayed here and fell in love with the place! Please see our VRBO Bear review.

Please visit our WEBSITE for more information and pictures of the Villa, look for the section 'other amenities' on this page for the link to the Palma Vista Villa website. The minimum rental period for the property is five (5) nights and the maximum occupancy is six (6) people.

Palma Vista Penthouse Villa is located at Seven Seas Beach, Fajardo, Puerto Rico. It is a 2 level Penthouse comprising a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, large 1st level balcony and expansive 2nd level terrace, 3 bedrooms (master suite with a king size bed; and two additional bedrooms each with queen size beds), 3 full bathrooms and fully air conditioned. It is a 3,500 sq ft villa with 2 communal pools, parking for two cars, visitors parking also available, gated community, very private (only 30 Villas), exclusive and adjacent to El Conquistador Resort and Las Cabezas de San Juan. We also provide high quality bed linens, fluffy white towels and luxury toiletries, high speed internet access, 55' LCD Television with Direct TV programming, Apple TV, Blue Ray DVD player and portable sound system.

The panoramic views from the villa and the terraces are spectacular. From the front, Las Cabezas de San Juan, The Lighthouse, Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea. From the back are impressive, gorgeous panoramic views of El Yunque National Rain Forest and the Puerto Rican mountains and beautiful views of the countryside and its flora. The sunset and sunrise from the top terrace are stunning. Seven Seas Beach, with spectacular crystal blue waters and a beautiful sand beach is located at Las Croabas, Fajardo, Puerto Rico.

One of the top beaches of the world, Seven Seas is a popular beach for snorkeling around the coral reefs, and water sports. The clear waters are teeming with vibrant tropical fish and coral reefs and are protected by offshore reefs. The region is part of the National Parks System and is considered a 'World Blue Flag Beach'. In order to obtain the Blue Flag distinction, a beach has to comply with a set of very strict standards in terms of water quality, safety and services, environmental education and information. Blue Flag Beaches are continually monitored for water and land environmental safety.

In addition to being located directly at Seven Seas Beach, which means you do not need a car to get to the beach, only minutes away and within easy walking distance, are the beautiful beaches of Playa Escondida (Hidden Beach), Playa Colora (Red Beach) and Governor's Beach, which are three of the most secluded beaches you can find. This means that it is a romantic spot, it's certainly a great place for snorkeling and just to relax. Playa Escondida means 'hidden' and Playa Colora 'hot/red beach' in Spanish. In order for it to be hidden, and virtually unused, it is in an out-of-the way place — you have to walk about 15 minutes via a trail through a mangrove forest to get there. But the prize is worth it — finding a pretty, secluded strip of beach like this one is always a pleasure. Also the Governor's summerhouse is at Playa Escondida. Playa Escondida is very safe for snorkeling, swimming and/or just to contemplate the beautiful panoramic views in very calm waters.

Several nearby islands like; Icacos, Palomino and Palominito provide even more opportunities for fantastic snorkeling, hiking and exploring. Local companies or at local Marinas you can get and organize guided tours to take you for a fun day. Especially popular are the Kayak Tours of the Bioluminescent Laguna Grande, which is in Seven Seas Beach and next to Palma Vista Villa. Also 7 minutes by car and in the town of Fajardo ferryboats can take you to Vieques and Culebra, with more places to explore and World-renowned beaches to enjoy. Vieques and Culebra can also be reached by air from Ceiba Airport. Ceiba Airport, which is a 20-minute drive from Seven Seas and Palma Vista Villa, also services flights to other nearby island such as the US Virgin Islands. Air Flamenco operating from Ceiba airport offer flights to San Juan, Arecibo, Ponce and the islands of Culebra, Vieques, St Thomas, St Croix, Tortola, St Martin, Anguila and the Dominican Republic. Seeing more of the island is easy when you take a side trip to see its natural attractions as a part of a day at the beach. A perfect example is El Yunque National Rainforest, which is 22.8 km (14.2 miles) from Seven Seas Beach and Palma Vista Villa. The variety of places with the best seafood you will enjoy is overwhelming using local fresh ingredients and produce and always a perfect service and a smile. From local traditional cuisine to international high-end restaurants at the Waldorf Astoria El Conquistador Resort, just 2 km (1.2 miles) from Palma Vista Villa.

Keywords: Luxury, 2 Level Penthouse Villa at Seven Seas Beach. Stunning Sea and Rain Forest Views.

About Kevin Sherratt

The Property is owned by Kevin and Jay

Kevin Sherratt purchased this villa in 2009

Why Kevin Sherratt chose Fajardo

Seven Seas Beach on the East Coast of Puerto Rico, where Palma Vista Villa is located, is in our opinion, one of the most beautiful parts of Puerto Rico, and is home to some of the best tourist attractions the island has to offer, such as El Yunque National Rain Forest and the Bio-Luminescent Bay. As well, the nearby Fajardo Ferry terminal provides easy access to the islands of Vieques and Culebra. The nearby Ceiba airport provides regular flights to the US Virgin Islands, Vieques, Culebra and San Juan.

The villa is quiet and peaceful - from the front you have wonderful panoramic views of the beach and ocean, from the rear you can see the Puerto Rican mountains and El Yunque National Rain Forest. There are some great local restaurants to dine and the villa is next to the El Conquistador Resort.

At this villa you do not need a car to get to the beach because you are literally at the beach!

What makes this villa unique

Peace. Tranquility. Privacy. Luxury living. Two Levels. 3,500 sq ft. Spacious, expansive Penthouse Terrace and large 1st Level Balcony. Light and airy with great views from all rooms. Stunning beach, ocean and rain forest views. Three full bathrooms and three bedrooms. 55' LCD TV - Direct TV. WiFi. Great local dining.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I Just wanted to thank you both for sharing your beautiful place in Fajardo. I was really impressed with the landscaping in the pool area and we often had the garden and pool completely to ourselves. It was a very relaxing vacation. Far from the hustle and bustle of Condado.

We discovered Hidden beach....and definitely found it pristine and beautiful. We also hiked towards the light house along Las Croabas beach and found that beach deserted and equally pristine. The Rain Forest was equally beautiful. We did venture into Old San Juan one evening for dinner but basically hung out in the Fajardo area. We took the boat out to Icacos Island for snorkelling as well....though our favorite beach for snorkeling was at Hidden Beach. The tour of the Mangroves and Light house was within walking distance of your place.

We explored the local dining.....El Estacion was our favorite. I also like Ensalada de Carucho...and liked the little place down the street on the right.......great for lunch.

We only did Breakfast in the Villa. We also did a Happy Hour on the balcony before dinner.....though never cooked dinner or used the grill.....always went out.

Having the wireless and flat screen with news etc was great as well. Thanks for the Music selection. Also the roof top area was a great place to hang out as well.....Marsha and I adopted that shower and bathroom as ours.

Best regards

Everything I Was Hoping For... AND MORE!

  • 5 of 5

If I had to distill my stay here into 3 words, it would read: "Definitely Coming Back!" This villa is by far the nicest in the entire Palma Vista complex. My entire trip was enhanced by how fantastic the accommodations are as well as the location. To begin with, the condo is spacious and beautifully decorated. It comes with all the amenities you could want from a resort hotel but with privacy and an authentically personal touch. The kitchen was so nicely appointed that it will make you WANT to cook. Both patios are so inviting that it makes you WANT to relax outside with a coffee, a drink or just to gaze at the beautiful views. And the views... so close that it makes you WANT to go outside and explore. Being able to walk to 3 different beaches, or walk through a forest, or take a short drive to the El Yunque Rainforest really made me enjoy the trip more than I had hoped for. It was especially helpful that I didn't feel suffocated by cloying, tourist-focused attractions. In short: I'll be back again. AND I'M STAYING HERE!

Beautiful Property in a Wonderful Location

  • 5 of 5

We appreciated having such a lovely place to call home for our week in Puerto Rico. We especially enjoyed using the rooftop bathroom where we could see the ocean while taking a shower. The condo is absolutely immaculate and the owners were so helpful we could not have be more happy during our stay. We echo all the wonderful and positive comments previous guests have written about this property.

Wonder Week

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Palma Vista Villa for 6 nights. Kevin was wonderful to work with, as was their housekeeper Brendaliz. The condo was all that was promised, wonderfully stocked kitchen that allowed us to cook most of our meals. The rooftop patio was used every night for cocktails and to relax after busy days at the beach, sailing, and snorkeling. I highly recommend it. We did not have any difficulty retrieving our deposit after our stay, it was literally within days that I received the notice. Would not hesitate to recommend Kevin and Jay or their condo.

Be alert - be cautious

  • 3 of 5

Be alert and be fully aware before you book this condo that although it has three bathrooms, one of those is on the second floor terrace level and is nowhere near the bedrooms. Thus, the two bedrooms with queen beds on the main floor have to share a rather small bathroom or someone has to traipse all the way from one end of the condo to the other and then upstairs any time they want to use the bathroom.

We found the bedrooms very inconvenient because they were so sparsely furnished. The two queen bedrooms have a bed and one night stand. That is all the furniture there is. No chest of drawers. No lamp. Nada else. There is a big closet, but nowhere to unpack your underwear, shorts. swim suits etc. No where for the second person to put glasses, book, watch etc. Reading in bed was difficult with only an overhead light. The master bedroom did have two night stands and lamps, but had only a small armoire - 2 drawers and limited hanging space - no closet. And the beds had so many pillows with nowhere to put them.

Similarly, the lighting in the main living area was very poor. It was so dark in there at night that it was extremely hard to read. And the overhead fixtures were hung so low, we kept hitting our heads on them.

The view from the main floor is of the parking lot. The view from the terrace is a tiny bit of the ocean. The kitchen and two back/queen bedrooms overlook a kind of trailer park (trailers with corrugated roofs built over them). This trailer park had many dogs that barked all day long and well into the night - all the time. This was a big problem and made us uneasy. (The owners told me we should have closed the windows and turned on the air conditioner to block the barking noise. First, that sort of defeats the purpose of being in Puerto Rico and, second, because they charge you for energy usage over a certain amount, we did not do that.)

The owners were very nice and helpful to us. The water went out on us twice and the owners were very responsive. They said it was due to construction. For some reason the back up water system did not come on right away, but the owners got it back within a hour. The housekeeper was also very helpful. Her husband even came once and helped us when our rental car had a dead battery. The condo was quite clean and beautiful. The beds, linens and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and the condo had everything you would want for the beach. We enjoyed relaxing on the outdoor terrace.

Owner's Response: Over the past 4 years we have received over 53 Five Star reviews, which are testament to the excellence of the property and its surroundings. VRBO have stayed here and found the place very special! Many of the comments and statements made by this guest are so bizarre and inaccurate, it made us question, whether in fact, the guest actually stayed at the property. The guest was so fixated with the view of the car park from the first level balcony that they could not see the beauty of the swimming pool, coconut palms, landscaped gardens and views to Seven Seas Beach. The guest also became fixated that from the rear of the villa they could see a number of vacation chalets with tin roofs, which in their opinion resembled a Trailer Park. What they missed were the beautiful villas and houses nestled in the hills beyond, as well as views to the mountains and El Yunque National Rainforest in the distance. From the description given of the view from the 2nd level terrace we can only conclude that the guest must have been wearing a blindfold. The guest description of the furniture in the bedrooms is incorrect. Both bedrooms have floor lamps, table lamps and ceiling lights. The bedrooms have large built-in wardrobes with shelving and 24 wooden coat hangars, a nightstand with drawer/shelf and suitcase racks. The armoire in the Master Suite is large enough for two and contains two-dozen wooden coat hangars for hanging clothes and two large drawers. The guest complained of poor lighting in the living area. The living area has four ceiling fixtures with a total of 13 x 60 watt LED lights. The lights are very bright, and have dimmers. Unless you happen to be extremely tall, which the guests were not, there is only one of the ceiling light fixtures low enough to hit your head; furthermore, a coffee table is placed underneath the fixture so that guests do not hit their heads. There are no dogs on the property referred to by the guest, there never have been. The guests were never told to close the windows and turn on the AC units to disguise the noise from barking dogs. However, there are dogs in the local area that occasionally bark at night and during the day as dogs do everywhere. The guest’s decision not to use the AC units at night was inexplicable and had nothing to do with excess electricity usage – it was purely their personal choice.

Thoroughly Enjoyed Our Stay at Palma Vista Villa! *****

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Palma Vista Villa for six days in early January and it was a great time for the entire family. The villa is immaculately clean and stylishly decorated, from the art and decor to the amazing details and amenities provided by the owners. Definitely, the owners have gone to a lot of effort to make this place a truly 5 star villa. The property is literally at the beach, and close to shops, restaurants, uniques places to visit such as the bio-bay, El Yunque (rainforest), El Conquistador Hotel & Resort, Vieques and Culebra Island, Icacos Islet, etc. what more could one ask for. The owners, and service staff were superb. We really enjoyed La Estación and La Ola restaurants. We were even able to purchase fresh fish from from a local fish market, which we took back with us to grill on the amazing roof terrace. It was definitely worth spending a day at the adjacent Icacos Islet courtesy of Reynaldo Tours - the snorkelling at Icacos is fantastic. All in all, a great vacation, superb villa at a one of a kind location. Kudos Palma Vista Villa!

Great place!

  • of 5

Owners are exceptionally helpful. This is a hidden gem with an amazing rooftop where we spent every evening either eating dinner or socializing. There are plenty of amenities in the condo and easy access to the beach and pool. Owners had a manual complete with directions and suggestions. We highly recommend a visit to Al Yunque National Forest where the views from the tower are breathtaking. The hidden beach is also worth the 20 minute walk through the easy path. Plenty of privacy yet close to the local grocery store.
