'This Kekaha estate was featured in the book 'the Hawaiian House now', and was one of only two houses from Kauai in the book published in 2007. 'Hawaii still lives in Kekaha' said Gail Miller of the sleepy West Kauai town she lived in since 1998, when this publicized and well known designer purchased this Sugar Mill Manager's home. Originally built in 1933, it was purchased by Miller after she first saw this beach side house. 'Surfers and tourists line the shore to watch the sun drop into the western horizon at an hour that used to bustle with workers returning from the fields to their homes here in Kekaha.
