Flor de Cabrera ( Flower of Cabrera. sp ) was built in 2007 as a tribute to the natural beauty of the area. Located in the private oceanfront community of Orchid Bay near the small town of Cabrera, the area remains authentic to days past. The real heartbeat of this Oceanside village is its people and their natural friendliness. If desired, you can immerse yourself in the culture by stepping into the real everyday experiences from navigating the unspoiled beaches to sharing coffee and stories with local people. For those wanting more traditional activities the area also offers golf, horseback riding, snorkeling, zip-lining and much more.

We understand you’re in the beginning stages of looking for a vacation location and are just trying to get a clear picture of what we offer and the costs associated. You have the luxurious privacy of a personal villa with a bi-lingual staff ready to address your every need. Flor de Cabrera comes with onsite concierge, housekeepers, host staff and professional chefs. The villa also has a complete water filtration system and 24hr dedicated 110 power supply. We are not an outside rental agency who has never visited the property. My wife and I built and manage the villa so you will get accurate and personalized information about the villa, area, and experience. Some of the reasons we elected to build in Cabrera was that it made for a perfect destination wedding and family gathering location. The economics of the country and the friendliness of its people allow us to offer a level of service rarely experienced at even the finest resorts. Cabrera also possessed that authentic charm that you rarely find in a tourist town. Flor de Cabrera was built as a charitable venture that helps educational programs in Cabrera. incredibly fulfilling and extremely inspiring

I have never felt so welcome and loved as I have here. From the delicious burritos, to the amazing pool end view. The experience as a whole was incredibly fulfilling and extremely inspiring. I have never had an experience where I could help people and know I was directly making a difference. Once I returned to the villa, it was complete relaxation. Either laughing by the pool, (trying) to get a tan, winning at pool, or just watching the view, everything was amazing and extravagant. This was defiantly a vacation that flew by so fast, it begs the question “What happened to my week?”

Needless to say, I want to stay here, but it is my time to depart.

Words fall short in expressing the wonders we experienced in our too short (8 day) stay at the villa.

The visible beauty of the villa itself, surrounding grounds, pool, room layout, etc. Is only surpassed by the attention we received from Liam and staff.

We never had the opportunity to request some service- the staff was always in front, ahead or our needs.

And I must comment the chef and his helpers. The food was very well prepared, varied, served and presented with excellence.

The proof or the pudding is the eating- we of course are booking a return from next year.

Thank you Dan, Liam, and staff- Your first year is a bang-up success- for us!

the staff was unbelievable

How can I begin to describe our week here?!?! Awesome. We gathered here to celebrate my granddaughters wedding. What a setting, the house, the view; all spectacular. But more that all that was the staff was unbelievable; they waited on us whatever the need be. All my grandchildren fell in love with them and friends (no family) they became. The wedding was awesome (perfect). The staff took care of every detail and those memories will be with us forever. The week went by in a flash. My grandson celebrated his 3rd birthday and cake decorations and goody bags were provided by the staff.

This was never a hotel or a resort but our home away from home. To have my children and grandchildren and great grandchildren and new members of our family together was unbelievable!!!

It’s a wonderful life at the Villa Flor de Cabrera! We celebrated our yearly family reunion here and we will treasure the memories always!

-Celebrating Laura’s 45th birthday and Malli’s 50th with the Dominican trio band and homemade cake; the selfless staff who was only here to please; the starry nights and shooting starts; the pig roast on the beach, which brought back memories of our gather who has passed away; the bonfire on the 4th of July and the surprise of the local singing group.
