About Ferrara DiCenso

Love Long Beach for its diversity and small town feel. Belmont Shore is lots of fun, lots of great restaurants and shops. Naples Island is fun to see, always decorated for Christmas. Very romantic to go on Gondola Getaway to travel down the canals, almost like Venice, Italy! Downtown Long Beach has the Queen Mary and the Aquarium and has a great night life. Lots of places for dancing the night away!!

Ferrara DiCenso purchased this house in 2006

Why Ferrara DiCenso chose Belmont Shore

I have always wanted to own a bungalow style house. I love the old traditional feel to it with the convenience of all of the up-grades. It feels good to walk barefoot on the wood floors, touch the crystal door knobs, have lots of cupboard space, and open up the French doors to the back porch to let all of the fresh warm summer air in.

What makes this house unique

It is great to be central to everything in Long Beach. Walking to the beach to swim, kite surf, bike ride; or taking a walk through Belmont Shore to enjoy all of the great restaurants and shops; or going to Naples Island to kayak around the canals or for a special date go on the gondola through the canals to be sung to in Italian; or going to the Art District to watch a movie at the Art Theatre or go antique shopping, or eat at one of the more alternative restaurants; or to go downtown to visit the Queen Mary, Long Beach's Aquarium, and the Pike, it's all fabulous, so much to do and see! Plus Long Beach hosts the Grand Prix April 16-18 2010 and the Long Beach Marathon Oct 2010

What a great cottage! We loved this property! There were six people staying here but we never felt cramped. The back patio is perfect for entertaining. The entire yard is fenced which was a real bonus since we brought our dog. The cottage is only a few miles from the beach and lively local shopping and eating. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!

Great spot in residential area in Long Beach

  • of 5

My two friends and I stayed for three nights at this lovely home. Easy to get checked in, and the owner was great to work with. Three separate bedrooms was just what we needed. Bath and kitchen were nice. Tight parking for one or two cars, plus street parking wasn't too hard to come by. Overall a great experience. The only downside was being further away from the convention center than we were hoping for - it was over a mile, which meant that we had to drive and park for all events there. But the price was right!

We stayed at this rental from December 27th-January 3rd so that we could be within driving distance to Pasadena for the Rose Parade. This rental was everything we dreamed it would be! The house has 3 bedrooms and one bath. I was little nervous about the one bath with 7 people staying, but it wasn't a problem at all. We also brought our 3 month old daughter and we were able to use the playpen that was kept at the rental. The kitchen is fully stocked and there were linens on the beds and towels ready for us. If there was a negative (and I had to reach to find one) it would be to watch out for the hot water when taking a bath. I ran bath water for my 7 year old and set it according to the faucet. When I came back the "warm" water was scalding hot! Also, parking is hard to find out on the street so plan on parking in the drive during your stay. There's plenty of room for 2 cars. The beach is nearby and its within driving distance to Pasadena (45 minutes) and 30 minutes to Disneyland. We had a wonderful stay and If we're ever coming out to California again (we live in Missouri), we would stay here again! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay!

Cute and Roomy Home in Nice Area!

  • 4 of 5

Overall this home was lovely to stay at! Plenty of room for us! Very clean and smelled good. The home was very roomy for us we had at a max 7 adults

(1 wheelchair confined) and 2 small children...not many places can fit that many people. Very wheelchair accessible only problem was in the bathroom as the toilet is a little oblong however we managed. Did not realize there was central air! It was a pleasant surprise, though we did not need it most days. The patio is MUCH larger than the pictures looked...We loved hanging out there amongst the shade. We did not use the BBQ, however the kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes. The appliances were practically brand new and worked great! Beautiful hardwood floors, living room couch was really comfy. Lots of open areas for kids to play.

There are a few little minor things that we noticed but overall the house as a whole was great. The house itself did need a little TLC...some doorknobs would fall off as they were missing the little screws (bedroom with patio door and bathroom), the bathtub jets did not work, some outside light bulbs were out however there were spares in the cupboard that we were able to change out no biggie...the bathroom does not have a lock on it, so beware if the doorknob falls off...your stuck in there until someone can turn the other knob, we managed. The washer in the kitchen is very touchy! If you stand too close to the machine and happen to graze the buttons it will start the load all over again or pause it...The car gate lock to the side door needs to be replaced, its old and does not lock...no biggie...There is only 1 small TV in the living room. That's about the only issues we had which are not MAJOR! Just a FYI...SO overall with everything considered it was a wonderful rental! The place is really lovely!! Thanks for a great rental...- Robin

Exactly as Advertised

Always nice to arrive at a property and find things exactly as advertised. Found several good restaurants within walking distance of the house. Quite neighborhood. Although only one bathroom, hot water for showers was never a problem for our party of six. Nice to have air conditioning as well. Owner was very responsive to our questions as well.

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Stayed 4 nights at this really cute bungalow in May...lots of old charm with original glass door knobs, great wood trim, sunny due to one entire side of the house being windows or french doors...convenient driveway so no need to search for street parking...easy walk to Ralph's grocery store, Grandma's donuts (yummy) and the beach...updated kitchen with dishwasher, washer, dryer, gas stove, small appliances and plenty of counter space...separate dining room and living room with plenty of seating for our group of 4. Beds were comfortable, house was clean, deck was private...Ferrara was prompt returning emails and provided us with some great restaurant choices. The neighborhood is very safe and lovely to walk around, with many historic homes and beautiful landscaping. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Long Beach area.
