Located one block from Cruz Bay restaurants and ferry, Grande Bay features a beautiful pool, sun deck, hot tub, exercise facility and WIFI. This complex completed in 2007 combines LUXURY and LOCATION.
Sleeps 2-4 persons, 1 bedroom with king-size bed, living room with queen sleeper sofa, bath and separate powder room. Two flat screen TVs w/ DVD players in living room and bedroom with 57 cable stations.
ONE DAY SCENERIO
Enjoy morning coffee lounging on 4 captain chairs on the oversized-balcony watching the boats and ferries and a full view of the ocean, harbor, distant islands, and the lights of St. Thomas. Then consider visiting world, top-10 Trunk Bay beach by car (your reserved parking space is next to the elevator) or use the taxi shuttle at the gazebo. At the beach, sink your toes in the sand, soak up the sun or lounge in the shade before a mid-day snorkel on the National Park underwater trail.
Stroll along the beach, doze, or read in your beach chair. Return to your place and dress informally for dinner at one of the many great restaurants, including Waterfront Bistro, Morgans Mango, Rhumb Lines, or High Tide, just a block or two away. All this and its just the first day of your vacation in paradise. Tomorrow you might drive or take the $1 new VItran bus to Salt Pond Bay, where sighting southern sting rays and green turtles is almost guaranteed. Hike up Ram Head for a glimpse of St. Croix 40 miles away before stopping at Shipwreck Landing or Skinny Legs for an afternoon rum punch.
Spend the evening on our breeze-swept balcony savoring Uncle Joe's take-out barbecue, watching the sunset and twinkling lights of St. Thomas - a perfect way to enjoy the evening. Tomorrow you might be ready for more snorkeling at Waterlemon Cay or Cinnamon Bay. If it is Thursday or Sunday, you can take the 8:00 a.m. day ferry to Virgin Gorda to visit the Baths. On Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, another 8:00 ferry travels to Jost Van Dyke, where Foxys, the Soggy Dollar Bar, and the Blow Hole are attractions.
This 1-bedroom, 1.5 bath condo features a state-of-the-art kitchen with granite countertops, stainless-steel dishwasher and side-by-side fridge, microwave, blender, coffee maker and toaster. A good nights sleep is guaranteed in the king-size Tommy Bahama bed and comfortable sleeper sofa with attached air-mattress. There is an ideal reserved parking space next to the elevator accessing the unit.

After years of exploring the Virgin Islands through bareboat sailing rentals, we settled on St. John because of the spectacular scenery, the warmth of the island people, and the perfect weather.
We practically LIVE on our oversized balcony, enjoying the nonstop breezes and watching the ever-changing vistas of Cruz Bay Harbor.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo with us!! We loved everything about it, especially the best parking spot on the island!! The views are incredible and the sunsets spectacular. We visited a new beach every day and saw some amazing sea turtles, sting rays and many beautiful fish on our snorkeling adventures. On our last day we rented a dinghy and had a glorious day on the ocean. We loved your condo and all its furnishings. It is truly beautiful but yet extremely comfortable at the same time. The photos do not do justice for how spacious and well equipped this condo is. Upon arrival at the ferry dock we were met by a very nice woman with a car who gave us a quick tour around town as well as showing us the condo.
The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and the bedroom had a safe and plenty of closet/dresser space. The washer/dryer in the unit turned out to be very helpful as we were able to do a load of laundry before we left.
The balcony is very big as it wraps around the corner unit. The view of Cruz Bay Harbor is amazing. We would spend every afternoon there before dinner.
The building location is very convenient. Cruz Bay isn't very big to begin with, but there were plenty of bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk.
The condo had coolers, beach chairs and beach towels - all of which we made good use. There was also a grill if we wanted to cook ourselves.
Water is scarce on the island so we did our best to conserve water but unfortunately had to take long showers just because the water pressure wasn't very good. We assume it helps conserve water so no complaints here but I know this can be a sore point for some people!
The owners were very forthcoming and answered all of our questions before we arrived. Would definitely recommend this condo to anyone. We went for our 2nd wedding anniversary and had an incredible time.
Grande Bay is a very nice condo complex with gorgeous views of Cruz Bay Harbor. The condo we rented was clean, modern and well-equipped. The owners even provided beach chairs, floats and coolers. The pool and hot tub is nice to come home to after a long day at the beach. The location can't be beat....walking distance to all of the Cruz Bay restaurants and Mongoose Junction shopping area. The process of reserving the condo was super easy. The owners communicated directly with us via email, and the management company met us at the ferry dock and drove us to the condo. It was excellent service all around!
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 48th anniversary at Grande Bay. This was a perfect condo in every way. The bed was so comfortable that I was asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Brand new appliances and a great air conditioning system. Everything you need is provided for at this condo. Even great free "happy hour" on Tuesday and Thursday.The location is perfect for all that Cruz Bay has to offer. We had the pleasure of spending a fun night with the owners at Morgan's Mango. We enjoyed it so much that we went back with our son and his girlfriend a few nights later.
The management company couldn't be more accommodating. I would recommend this unit to anyone who would like to spend a fun, relaxing vacation in St John!
My wife and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on St. John (albeit a few months later than we had hoped). We stayed in this condo. I highly recommend it and hope to come back. First, the location cannot be beaten. You are literally less than a 5 minute walk from the ferry dock. You are literally a 5 minute walk to most of the well-reviewed restaurants and the shopping in Cruz Bay. The unit itself is quite nice. You have a beautiful view of Cruz Bay and a great view of town from the balcony. The one thing I wish they had was a ceiling fan on the balcony. All of the other units seemed to have them. One night when there was no breeze, we needed the fan, but the breeze from the bay was enough for the rest of the week. The kitchen is well-appointed. The appliances are all new. In fact, the owner had just finished installing a new HE washer and dryer when we arrived. The bed is comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked great and was extremely reliable, which was important for me. I could hop on the internet to check on things at work in the early morning or late evening and give myself peace of mind without encroaching on our time away. There are plenty of towels, including beach towels. There are two small coolers, beach chairs and two floats there, which is a nice touch. The owners were very easy to work with when making the reservation. Crandall, the property management company, was equally great. Crandall sent someone to pick us up at the ferry dock when we arrived. For a reasonable fee, they pre-stocked the refrigerator and kitchen with food items we requested. Crandall has Jeeps to rent, which we did. They had the Jeep waiting for us in our parking space when we arrived and picked it up on the day we left. Hassle free. Having a Jeep to explore the island made a huge difference in the quality of the trip. I highly recommend renting a Jeep if you go. My wife and I were looking to relax and recharge. This no-hassle, great view, great location condo allowed us to do just that. I hope we can make it back to St. John soon. If so, I know just where we will stay.
We had a fantastic time in St. John in September when the island is not so crowded.
This is a lovely unit with nice furnishings, a decent view, and super convenient to town (Cruz Bay). The kitchen is adequately stocked with basic meal prep needs, and the Wi-Fi worked great (the few times we needed it to Facetime with the kids back home. Beach chairs, a small cooler, and an electric grill on the patio were also nice touches.
I highly recommend this unit. The owners were easy to work with, and the folds at Crandalls (prop manager) were also nice and efficient.
Our 1st visit to STJ & this condo was so perfect that we just rebooked it for our June 2015 trip w/ our daughters. Felt like home...spacious layout, modern finishes, super comfy king bed (let's face it you never know what quality mattress you will get when renting...we slept like babies), very clean, EXCELLENT sunset views from the balcony! The intensity of the air conditioning was great especially in late june. so happy that we had our own washer/dryer. Very humid on island so a dryer is a necessity since things take so long to air dry outdoors. You cannot beat the location...easy walk to grocery, bars, restaurants, & our fav beach Solomon...yet quiet enough that you don't feel like town noise is a bother. Rented a car (right from the front desk of Grande Bay which was so convenient. set up in advance) only 2 days of our 7 on island & the parking spot for this unit was prime. Front desk staff very friendly & helpful. Enjoyed talking with them. Resort pool is not huge but nice. We used it for a quick dip one night after a long day of snorkeling. Low Key watersports right next door so easy for snorkel equipment rental. The owners of this unit have been easy to communicate with & very prompt which is comforting & the management company who handles check in was organized & welcoming. Highly recommend a sunset sail on Kekoa w/ capt Jameson & his crew. Perfect for our final evening on STJ. Cannot wait to return in 2015!
