'Turtlecove Treehouse' provides the perfect get away spot and quiet retreat space to rest, relax and rejuvenate. This cozy and comfortable studio guest house sits nestled among the tree tops with a breathtaking view of Grand Lake and the privacy of surrounding woods. The quiet, peaceful cove is perfect for swimming, floating lazily, or simply soaking in the sights and sounds of nature. The surrounding area will fill your senses, whether during a brisk hike or a quiet stroll along the shore.
Our location is beautiful in the fall and winter as well! We have a direct view of winter sunsets and enjoy viewing bald eagles and a variety of wildlife.
The Treehouse has a fully equipped kitchen and gas grill. A shoreline fire pit is available for guest use as well.

The simply furnished, yet modern space provides ample spaciousness and a sense of secluded privacy. You can sit and relax comfortably on the covered deck and watch the birds, turtles, herons, egrets, and the amazing sunsets.

Located in the Zena area near Sweetwater Cove, the space is equally enjoyed as a romantic couple's escape or a girl's getaway weekend.

The Treehouse is easily convertible to a wide open gathering space that is perfect for small group workshops and/or meetings.

Bring Food, Floaties, and Binoculars!

We really enjoyed our stay at Turtlecove. We loved fishing, swimming, and watching nature from the deck and on the dock. The kitchen inside and the grill outside were adequately equipped for cooking all meals.

This little place is perfect for a nice getaway! Close to the water, clean, very nice quiet property! If you are looking to relax or get on the lake, this is the place!!

Cozy hideaway

If you’re looking for cozy and quiet… this is your place! I boated to their dock and tied up for my stay. Quiet cove, quiet place. If you’re looking for uber modern finishes this is not your spot. While I enjoy that level of amenity, I still very much enjoyed my 4-day stay here! You will too!

Awesome Getaway!

Everything about the Turtle Cove Treehouse is just great! Clean, comfortable place to hang out and its right by the water! This is our second time coming here and had a lot of fun! The hosts, Bill and Carol are wonderful to work with! Great people!

Carol and Bill LaRue have lived on this property full time for 12 years. The 'Treehouse' was built as a new separate addition in 2008 for the purpose of sharing the peacefulness and beauty of the location with others. Carol's experience and passion is in providing a variety of integrative wellness services that incorporate yoga, Pilates, meditation and personalized coaching that are offered to guests by appointment. Bill is a life-long nature lover and is a great resource in appreciating the surrounding wildlife and terrain.

Our sweet dog Dottie welcomes guests and will often visit you on the deck.

Why they chose this property

We love the healing peacefulness of our property. After using it as a weekend retreat for several years, we made the move here full-time as a conscious, more healthy life style change.

What makes this property unique

While we have a view of the main body of Grand Lake, we are protected from a lot of noise and wave action in our quiet cove. Our view of sunsets are unsurpassed, and we love sitting on our deck any time the weather permits.
