Great location, easily accessible, easy parking, nice neighborhood. Pictures on website were good reflection of rental appearance. Lovely clean house as described. Good points - plenty of room and great storage. Lovely, warm fire that gives instant heat. Decking/hot tube was nice, quiet relaxing area. Good kitchen appliances. Good games room for kids. Bad points - warm air heater system upstairs was unplugged in garage and took some working out, therefore a house information book would be useful for visitors from outside USA who are unfamiliar with heating issues, bin collection day, recycling (what goes where), operation of appliances. Sliding patio door to games room would not lock and had to be adjusted at catch, presenting a security issue. Could have benefited from provision of more glasses and basic cutlery, ie knives, forks and spoons, and no lid for the kitchen bin. Alarm system did not seem to work. Available telephone number (to Kyle the handyman) was unobtainable so only email contact was available which sometimes took a day or two for a reply. Upstairs toilet blocked a few times, but no real problem as 2 others in the house. Electric up and over garage door did not seem to work and was very heavy to lift manually when needing to put bin out. No instructions on hot tub, which did become cloudy after a week and a guy called Rick came to sort it out.
Yes, we would recommend this property to a friend, especially if minor points above were fixed. The location for snowboarding/skiing at Heavenly was brilliant.
