We offer an elegantly furnished 2 bedroom garage apartment located in the farming community of Palmer. The views are incredible! It is like living up high in the trees, surrounded by mountains. The apartment has a spacious 900 square feet. We have a small 10 acre farm committed to raising vegetables. Organic vegetables and berries are available at no extra charge when in season. Mountains surround Palmer, as well as glaciers with easy access. Palmer is the most beautiful place I have ever been and is a small community.
We are very reasonably priced and have lower rates for the winter season.
This is the sun belt of Alaska, know for its rich farm lands, views of the mountains and glaciers. It is a small community where everyone knows your name.
This is peaceful and yet close to incredible glaciers, mountains, and fishing.
Wonderful place to stay! All of the comforts of home and then some! Very accommodating and friendly hosts. I would highly recommend this place for a comfortable place to stay while in Palmer
The apartment was lovely. Our host provided soaps, shampoo and everything you could need for your stay. We spent our time making day trips and coming back to sleep. Cecilia was very gracious and provided us with fresh eggs every morning. I would stay there again.
Wonderful, clean, friendly place to stay! We had our 18 month old with us and the owner was very accommodating to our family. Will definitely stay here again when in Alaska!
The apartment is like new. It's a lovely 2-bedroom apartment above a garage on 10 acres. There is a laundry in the roomy bathroom. All the windows (there are many) look out over a treetop view. This apartment served as our home base while we spent two weeks in Alaska. It was a great place to come back to after a long day of sightseeing or a relaxing place to be when we took a day off to do laundry and rest. I would definitely come back to this place if I get to come back to Alaska. FYI, this location on the edge of Palmer is about 40 minutes outside of Anchorage. That's an easy drive to many places and nicer than being in the city.
We had a wonderful stay at the Sleeping Inn Alaska. Everyone we met on the farm was very kind and helpful. One night they even brought us some locally-caught salmon and halibut for dinner. We also enjoyed watching the chickens, ducks, and goats on the farm. The apartment is spacious, well-stocked, clean, and well-maintained. Also, the view is quite nice. The Mat-Su Valley is a nice central location to access lots of Alaska attractions from Denali to Anchorage. I would highly recommend the Sleeping Inn Alaska to anyone staying in the valley. If I ever make it back to Alaska, I would definitely consider staying there again.
My daughter, son-in-law and I were passing through on way from Homer to Denali. We needed a place to break up the trip into two parts. I posted online. The owner phoned me back, accepted my verbal reservation. Agreed to leave it unlocked and key on table due to our late arrival. And asked me to leave a check on the table when we left. Then she e-mailed me complete instructions on how to get there. Now that is customer service. Some folks might not appreciate the country atmosphere as much as we did, but this place is totally convenient to Palmer, and is spacious and roomy. We loved the chickens (even being wakened by two dueling roosters), the ducks and the cats. We're convinced "Adam" thinks he's a dog. We would gladly stay a month at this place. Be aware, you do have a two story climb up the back steps to access this place, but it is a beautiful winding wooden stairway, leading up to a deck that overlooks the woods. It's like living in the tree tops. Owner also recommended the Noisy Goose nearby for breakfast which was also a treat. Our trip was the Seward area, Homer area, and Denali NP as our main courses. This place and Palmer were the dessert of our trip.
Fresh organic vegetables for you to pick from the garden when available, also raspberries and currants. We will be starting with new ducklings in the Spring of 2013. We have ducks for 2 reasons, we just love them! And they eat more bugs than any other animal except a bats. (But they are not so cute).
