About this property

Come and stay at our family retreat 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms at the Terra Verde vacation resort. We like that it is private yet close to the clubhouse and pool. Just minutes from Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Legoland, Orlando's International Airport, restaurants and shops. A perfect spot to enjoy the parks and a spacious retreat to return to.

Terra Verde is a resort community and there is plenty to do if you want to skip the theme parks/crowds. The community pool is great to swim in or relax by with a hot tub to soak in and nearby hammocks to lounge in. Lots of other things to entertain the kids including a playground, mini golf, table tennis, games, basketball hoop and pool. For older kids/adults there is an exercise room, volley ball and a tennis court.

We know you are likely going to visit the theme parks but there are additional attractions less than 10 minutes away that are both fun and interesting. Celebration is a model town, planned by Disney, that is well worth a walk/cycle around. It has a collection of great restaurants and an ice cream shop. Shingle Creek regional park has historic housing, a nature trail through the cypress swamp and an excellent canoe/kayak rental. center. You can canoe/kayak through pristine swamp and see birds and turtles. These are less expensive, educational and fun ways to spend a day. Further afield is Cape Kennedy, check for launches and see the museum.

We pride ourselves on a fully furnished, clean, and up to date unit. Additions include new tiling downstairs and laminate upstairs. The living room has a leather sofa bed. Our property manager is excellent and has an office on site . We have lots of entertainment options including a large TV. There is free cable access internet in the living room and wireless access throughout the villa. All bedrooms have TV and cable. There is also a selection of board games. All useful for those quiet days at home or evenings when relaxing is important. Our townhouse is kid friendly with a crib/playpen, highchair, baby gate, and patio alarm. It is fully furnished with plenty of sets of towels for both the bathrooms and pool. The kitchen is fully equipped including pots, pans, coffee maker, kettle and lots of dishes and cutlery.

For added security our unit has an electronic door lock so you do not have to worry about late entry or losing the key plus an additional keyed entry if you want extra security. We actively solicit guest feedback and have added extra wine glasses, an overhead fan in the master bedroom and a BBQ in response to guest suggestions.

Please note there is a one time per vehicle $20 fee for a gate pass.

Excellent location

Ideal location for whatever you want to do. Food places and Walmart close by. Nice gated community that has someone in the gatehouse 24/7. I would recommend this rental villa.

Great Town House in lovely surroundings

We stayed for 2 weeks in July /Aug 2018 with our kids, 12 and 10. Town House was very spacious, immediately welcoming and very easy to stay in. It was very quiet and being English I was delighted to find a kettle when we arrived after a long trip, and arriving at 2am body clock time! It was immaculately clean. The kids loved the hot tub and we enjoyed a couple of BBQs on the patio, which is very private. The seat pads do need replacing but the owner said that he would purchase new for future guests. The accommodation was well equipped and the bathrooms and bedrooms were a fab size. We loved Terra Verde, the security was amazing and very efficient and the grounds were well maintained throughout. We used the Pool a couple of times and Tikki Bar for food once. Limited choice on the menu but everything was good hot and fresh. The location was good regarding the distance from the parks but we did struggle with hitting rush hour traffic each day. Overall it was exactly as we wanted and needed and we would definitely stay here again By way of improvement, I've already suggested a full length mirror be installed in the master bedroom as although there are fantastic mirror in the bathrooms, I didn't see my legs for 2 weeks.! 😁 The owner said he would see to this. Maybe the option to pay extra for a cleaning and bed changing service 7 days into a 14 day stay would be good too.

Lovely resort, accommodation, friendly management

We were recommended the Terra Verde resort and have to say it lived up to the recommendation. The resort was lovely, clean, plenty of amenities. The pool and pool bar great for end of day relaxation. Indeed like a previous review our kids asked on a number of occasions for us to head back to the pool when we were at Disney. The resort is very convenient for Disney/Universal as well as attractions/beaches further afield. The accommodation was also great, clean and spacious with good facilities. The staff at the club house were extremely helpful and friendly as were the management company and the owner who all responded with a level of service you always hope to receive.

This a quiet clean and friendly location .Easy to travel to from the Airport and find and check in

This is the second time we have stayed at Terra Verde and found the location ideal for all the nearby attractions ,but also for the road networks to all the beautiful natural gardens ,coastlines and sights that Florida has in abundance The property has always been clean and tidy and the owners always acting on client recommendations to improve the home facilities

Location

Location to Disney and universal was great. Away from the craziness but close enough drive. Complex itself was exactly what we expected. First night there we had to have a pest company come as the countertop was covered in gnats. Pest company said they came, still saw bugs entire stay. Was there 8 nights and the hot tub didn’t work one night we were there. The water never got above 80°. Spoke with owner who said they would call maintenance for it, not sure if they ever did. Master bedroom tv went out second to last night so those in that room had to go without If the hot tub and bug problem gets fixed, we would 100% stay again!

Why they chose this property

Our house is close to the major theme parks. It is set in a relaxing gated resort community. We love having the freedom to chose between Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, Legoland, or even a trip to Cape Canaveral one day and being able to chill out by the pool the next. You can choose between dining out, having a meal in your townhouse or a BBQ beside the pond. We love having the extra space that is not readily available in a hotel. We chose this property after looking at a lot in the Kissimmee area because Terra Verde is an exceptionally nice (top rated) gated community and the Mediterranean style houses are well built.

Terra Verde is family and senior friendly with a pleasant walk around the small central pond with fishing and palm trees. Our home is very close (less than 3 minutes walk) to the clubhouse, pool, climbing area, basketball court, beach volleyball, and playground.. Orlando has great connections to the US, Canada, and Europe.

What makes this property unique

Our property backs onto the nature reserve, which gives it additional privacy. However, it is within easy walking distance of the clubhouse and pool with all their amenities. There are two Queen beds with a highly rated mattress and a selection of pillow types for a good nights sleep. The third bedroom has 2 twins. All have TV and WiFi. There is a walled in patio with plenty of chairs and a working spa that can accommodate up to 8 people.
