When you step into the living room at the Charente it's hard not to catch your breath when you see the huge 12-foot high ceilings and enormous French windows. We love that many of the building's historic features have been beautifully preserved, including the original Versailles parquet floors, detailed marble mantelpiece and boiserie wood paneling on the walls.
