This simple and sweet cottage is fully updated while retaining its old-fashioned charm. It is a wonderful family vacation rental perfect for all but the youngest children (because it so close to the water). Located in Point O’ Woods, a private beach community, it is close to historic Old Lyme as well as to Ocean Beach Park, Mystic Seaport and Mystic Aquarium.
The first floor features a living room, dining room, back deck overlooking Long Island Sound, along with three bedrooms, one with twin beds and two with double beds facing the ocean, plus two full baths, the lower level has one bedroom with queen bed, and separate single person fold out bed, and one full bath with private patio looking out to Long Island Sound.
There is a flatscreen TV with dvd, and wi-fi available.
The charm of this home is its simplicity and comfort and the safe, friendly community of Point O’ Woods. Kids can have lots of freedom to ride their bikes, head to the beach or hunt down the ice cream truck.

You may never feel a need to go anywhere, but if you do….Old Lyme is filled with antiques and art, including the Old Lyme Art Association. Also nearby are Rocky Neck State Park, Harkness Memorial State Park, Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium. Ferries to Block Island and Long Island leave from nearby New London. Gamblers and gawkers may head to Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun. You can also visit Connecticut College, Mitchell College and the Coast Guard Academy. Boston and New York City are easily accessed via car (I-95), train or bus from New London or Old Saybrook.
A 500 dollar deposit, plus $500 security is required upon making reservation, remainder due 2 months prior.
