Perfect Little Island in the Sun
I am still in a post-vacation funk as I just looked through the pictures from our trip. It was an amazing time in a beautiful location, and the ease and comfort of staying at Summer Breeze made it that much better.
We stayed at Summer Breeze for a week at the beginning of August 2013 - the start of crawfish season on Spanish Wells (yay for great timing!) Our group was eight people - six adults and two children under ten. The house was spacious and had plenty of room for all of us (the three bathrooms were a big help) and was well stocked with all of our needs in the kitchen for cooking big family dinners of fresh-caught fish and crawfish at home. There were plenty of movies, games and books at the house to entertain everyone in our group while we were indoors.
Obviously, the draw to the Caribbean is outside, and the house is only steps from a mostly deserted beach with beautiful white sands, and knee-deep turquoise water as far out as you can walk. The house had kayaks, paddle boards, beach games, floats and snorkel gear that allowed us to take full advantage of our little private paradise. Jay and Ansley, the Summer Breeze owners, also put in touch with local vendors who rented us golf carts to take advantage of the whole island and a boat for exploring neighboring islands. We even saw a wild mom and baby dolphin on one of our adventures!
We returned home with fresh suntans and a week of memories, and are already planning our return to Spanish Wells. We will be back as soon as we can and will definitely be staying at Summer Breeze again. Thanks Jay and Ansley for sharing your beautiful home!
