Enjoy views of Moores Pond and Little Pisgah Mountain from this 2 bedroom/one bath Guest House. Recently remodeled, your vacation retreat has a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, wood floor in the living area, central air/heat, and a wood-burning fireplace. Amenities include WiFi, satellite and cable TV, AM/FM, CD, DVD, VCR, Gas outdoor grill, outdoor furniture. A two acre pond is ready for canoeing, sitting and enjoying watching herons and a variety of birds, or feeding the resident Mallards. There are miles of hiking trails in the woods on this 50-acre property, from moderate to strenuous. An additional highlight is that this is a small working farm, with various crops growing in season and a small French Alpine dairy goat herd. Two of our five does had 5 kids in late March (19th and 20th), the other 3 does will kid in early May and early June.

Located in Fairview, only 11 miles southeast of Downtown Asheville (6 miles from city limits) and 6 miles from I-40 and the Blue Ridge Parkway, this private residence is in the country, yet very convenient to the many attractions of the area, including the Biltmore Estate, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock State Park, and (of course) the mountains with their spectacular views, waterfalls, and tourist attractions. Every season has its gifts, from summer festivals and craft fairs to fall color, winter holidays at the Biltmore House, and spring blossoms. There is an Amish Market (bakery, fresh eggs, and other goodies) next door...across the pasture.

Chuck Campbell and Sarah York live next door at 40 Moores Pond Road. Chuck is a retired Health Care Consultant who is now learning to farm (John Deere therapy). Meanwhile, Sarah is an author of 4 books and a semi-retired Minister who learning to pull weeds and milk French Alpine Dairy goats. We love to have guests at our guesthouse from all over the world. We look forward to meeting you.

Perfect Family Vacation

We spent 5 nights in the guest house and had a perfect vacation! The hosts were kind, accommodating and so sweet to our son (22 months) who loved seeing the goats, llama, chicken and tractor. The home is well stocked with everything one would need. The wifi and full satellite tv was a great addition. The home is perfectly tucked away just a short distance to Asheville, Black Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Amish market (Troyers) was a short walk away and was a huge hit for our family! We loved the cinnamon rolls and fresh baked cookies. We can't wait to come back and stay again!

Simply Perfect

A wonderful and comfortable escape where our days began with beautiful morning sunrises and the tinkling bells of happy goats. We loved the serenity of Moore's Farm and enjoyed meeting our friendly
hosts, Chuck and Sarah, who introduced us to the workings of their farm. It was fun to meet their goats and their llama, Velvet, the amazing "goat guard". After a day of hiking and sightseeing it was
great to come back to the guest house and relax and where we made most of our evening meals in the well equipped kitchen.
At some point each day we hiked the trails behind the guest house with our dog who loved the freedom of being off leash.
Ashville was easily accessed as was the beautiful scenic area with incredible vistas.
It was an idyllic vacation for us and we hated to leave. Quincy, our dog, gives it " 2 thumbs up"

Great place!

We spent three nights at this wonderful house. We enjoyed having our dogs with us. The owners are very nice and helpful. It is close enough to all the surrounding sightseeing places. You would need a car of course. We highly recommend this rental.

Wonderful!

We stayed in the Guest House for four days with our two year old son and our dogs. Chuck and Sara were unobtrusive, yet incredibly gracious hosts. We enjoyed visiting with the goats, a milking demonstration, and Chuck even let our son 'drive' the tractor (a highlight of the trip for him)! The house is well appointed and we had everything we could possibly need. The setting is beautiful, the location is perfect for visiting Asheville, Black Mountain and surrounding areas. We cannot recommend Moore's Pond Farm highly enough!

We had the pleasure of staying at Moores Pond Farm with our 2-year-old for a full week. The home is very child friendly, and was impeccably clean. It was perfectly located for everything we wanted to do in the area. It was just the right amount of country for us while being close to the city. Short drives to Asheville, Chimney Rock, Black Mountain, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Chuck and Sarah were wonderful hosts, and we really appreciated the fresh eggs from the farm waiting for us upon our arrival. Our son absolutely loved the chickens right out back, and his day wasn't complete without a visit to see the goats and llama. It has all the amenities a family could need, especially the full kitchen and washer/dryer. And, being "city dwellers," we really appreciated the good wireless internet connection and full satellite tv. ;) Cell phone reception was also very good.

This property really was absolutely perfect for our family. There truly was not even the slightest thing wrong with our stay here. We give it our highest recommendation.

This small house is beautiful, and situated on an idyllic rural farm. The goats are very friendly and fun and there are lovely vistas everywhere you look. It's minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and Asheville. We were in town for a family wedding and the owners helped us set up for a small family dinner party. The bride and groom had pictures taken by the pond with mountains in the background. We can't wait to visit again.
