One of two adjoining properties - Large Groups can Rent Both!

Apartment is located above a Security Showroom directly across from St. Mary's Hospital (where Prince George was recently born!) and only a one minute walk from Paddington Station.

There are several flights of stairs to climb after entering through the front door so access to disabled or elderly may be limited.

Upon entering the apartment you will be greeted by the tiled terracotta floors, huge skylight and exposed brick wall of the living/dining room. A compact, but well equipped kitchen also awaits you. This has recently been renovated.

There is also a small rooftop patio for barbequing or sunbathing (weather permitting). SMOKING is confined to this area!

Also on the first floor of the maisonette is a bathroom with shower and a large bedroom comprising 4 single beds. Of special interest is the ornate gas fireplace. The large picture windows look out onto busy, cosmopolitan Praed Street.

Up one flight of stairs you will find three additional bedrooms, the bathroom and a utility closet, where washer and dryer are located. Two of the bedrooms are medium sized and furnished with double beds, while the third is much smaller and features bunk beds. Most bedrooms are provided with clock radios and hairdryers. Floors on the upper level are hardwood except for the bathroom which features black and white tiling.

Recessed lighting is featured throughout the apartment. There is central heating but no air conditioning although in the case of a heat wave we will provide fans.

Our housekeeper, Maria S., is available on request for extra cleaning (at your own expense). She lives very nearby so can be called if any problems should arise.

If you are part of a large group you can also rent our next door property which has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and can accommodate up to 8 persons.

About Maria Barry

The property has been in our family for over 60 years. My father started the business on the ground floor as a bicycle (and scooter) repair shop. He later expanded into cutting keys and eventually into a fully fledged locksmith firm. Today my 3 brothers and one sister continue the tradition! My role, since my older brother and his family moved out, is to keep the upstairs flats rented out as frequently as possible. The family is of Italian/Irish/Scottish decent. (We also have a property in Barga, Tuscany (Italy) listed with VRBO.

Nice place

Location is really close to everything: station, touristics places, London center, pub, restaurant... We were 4 adults and 5 children and the flat is well organised for two families with his 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Maria is welcoming and she made our arrival simple. Flat was clean. I recommend it for two families.

This was the perfect flat for our large family group.

Our flight arrived early in the morning and Maria was so kind to let us come in early since the flat had not been rented the night before. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. The flat was exceptionally clean and there was plenty of room for our 3 teens and 3 adults. We loved the location -- close to everything, including great restaurants, grocery stores, parks, easy public transportation, taxis, and really everything we needed. A wonderful place to stay in London.

Fantastic Family Apartment

Our party of 4 adults and 5 children stayed here for a long weekend. The apartment is clean, comfortable and well located - only a two minute walk to Paddington Station. We enjoyed our stay. Make sure to note that there are two flights of stairs to the flat with no lift.

Wonderful Stay!

My husband and I stayed in the rental along with his parents and two children. The space was even better than I expected and we were all very comfy and happy there. Very clean and tidy with a lot of room…so nice so that everyone had their own space. Amazing location and Maria was fantastic. Highly recommended! Oh, and even with the stairs, my 80+ parents in law were able to move around comfortably.

Great find in London!

We stayed as a group of colleagues visiting London for a conference. The apartment was huge, extremely clean and located right smack in central London. The location was a dream for commuting practically anywhere we needed to be. We were so busy we didn't get to do much other than sleep at the flat, but I would definitely recommend the place to anyone looking for a big, centrally located flat in London with a lot of beds!

A perfect rental in London

This is an ideal rental for a large family. Our 7 people (3 generations) were able to spread out over 2 floors (4 bedrooms and 2 full baths) very comfortably. It was very clean. The dishwasher and washer/drier were in excellent condition and easy to use (something not always true in rentals). WiFi was fast and reliable.

The location, right down the road from Paddington Station, was excellent although on arrival we did chose to walk all the way to the London Eye. The “stroll” took one hour fifteen minutes with stops to see the sites and take pictures. It was very enjoyable to get a feel for the city in this way.

There was a huge variety of restaurants and pubs to choose from. Hyde Park is 8 minutes away, perfect for an early morning walk or run.

Those with mobility issues would find all the stairs difficult. Fortunately, this was not the case for us.

Maria was very friendly and professional from our first email conversation through to our departure.
