Spacious yet charming-all we hoped for and more

We selected this home for our 28th family reunion and were not at all disappointed – everything promised in the posting was there (and more), well maintained, and clean. I can’t imagine what I would have added to make our weekend more comfortable and accommodating – everything we could possibly need or want was right there. The layout of the home and deck is perfect for sitting in groups to talk or play games, or you can spread out and have some solitude to read or just relax. I loved that I could be with my family yet not feel like we were on top of each other all weekend. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining room table is big enough to accommodate seating for a large family.
Our family ranged in age from 27 to 90 and this home suited everyone. The wireless internet access was a must for the 27 year old, the extensive cable channel listings were a must for the sports fans who needed to see the baseball playoffs, hockey and football, and my 90 year old mother actually bowled with the Wii. A short stroll down the street would take you to the beach area and I enjoyed jogging through the quiet neighborhood and surrounding area.
There are restaurants and grocery stores just a short drive away. The owner was attentive, professional yet friendly, and accessible.
I highly recommend this property if you want to feel confident that your vacation will be nothing less than wonderful.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the great review. It's always nice to hear that our house, that we designed and built for our family in 2005, is being enjoyed by other families. We out-grew our home rather quickly when our daughters got married and moved out. We decided to move into a small cottage down the street and make our home into a vacation rental, so that other families can get together and enjoy our little beach community that we have been fortunate to call home since 1990.
We have been in the business for 10 years and still enjoy meeting people from all over the country. Barby puts alot of energy into decorating the interior and exterior of the home...especially during the holidays! She is a Christmas Nut...we plan on putting pictures on the site showing the house during the holidays.
We look forward providing you with a memorable getaway and will gladly share our local knowledge of the Chesapeake Bay area with you during your stay.
