And, walk to “Les Halles” the famous Dijon Food Market. “My Home in Dijon” is a charming, very large (484 sq ft./45 sq metres) studio apartment with a separate kitchen that we lovingly restored to meet the expectations of the most demanding of guests. Dijon is the jewel of Burgundy and is easily accessible by TGV train from Paris or by motorway A31 or A6.
This beautiful, centrally located apartment is on the first floor (second floor U.S.) of a 17th century mansion. Despite its central location, the apartment is very quiet and peaceful as it faces a courtyard. You will sleep like baby.
The apartment consists of a sleeping area with a comfortable queen size bed, a dining area and a living area complete with flat screen TV (200 international channels) and an desk with a computer with broadband access and free Wi-Fi. The telephone is unblocked and you have free landline access to 100 countries (excluding cell phone numbers).
The separate windowed kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave and mini oven, a gas/electric cook top and a washer-dryer. Open the cabinets and you will find a complete set of dishes, glassware and pots and pans along with a toaster, electric kettle, coffeemaker and a blender.
The bathroom contains a washbasin and a bathtub with overhead shower and glass shower door. It is equipped with a hair dryer and a flat iron, bathrobes and an assortment of toiletries. The toilet and a second washbasin with mirror are located in a separate room making it easy for two people to get dressed in the morning. There are two large closets for your belongings. Air conditioning in the main room.
You'll be within walking distance to nearly all Dijon has to offer. It takes 2/3 min on foot to go to the tourist office in the ducal palace (entrance in rue des Forges), 5/6 min to the covered market 'les Halles' 3 min to St Michel and Notre Dame churches, restaurants, brasseries all around. The Fine Arts and Magnin museums are a few steps away. Transportation nearby (buses, taxis, velodi)
The train station is a 15min walk if you wish to go to Beaune by train (or bus). It will be my pleasure to collect you at the train station so you don't have to walk, take a bus or a taxi to the apartment.
We try our very best to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be right down to the provisions provided free of charge on your arrival (tea, coffee, bread, butter, jam, eggs, ham, milk, cereal, orange juice and bottled water). We will even meet you at the station if you come by train. The minimum stay is 2 nights but since it makes a full day only, you will only scratch the surface of this beautiful town! And there are so many other little towns or villages to discover like Beaune, Vezelay all the wine coast villages with great names if you like wine (Gevrey Chambertin, Fixin, Chambolle Musigny, Vougeot, Morey St Denis, Nuits st Georges...)

Bright and 'airy' feel to it, and it's spacious. The floor plan, layout is super. In historic area/building yet has modern conveniences Probably first and foremost, your approach to being a landlord: you do make it seem as though the 'renter' is a welcomed guest in your apartment.'

I was looking for a very well located place, very central, near all the main sites. I have been very lucky! With my husband, we immediately fell in love with the apartment, the building and the surroundings.
The location is great, museums, shopping, restaurants and brasseries at your door.

I chose this apartment based on the many recommendations from Fodorites and I'm so happy that we did. This is just the most ideal apartment and location you could dream of. The wonderful owner, Coco, has thought of every detail to make our stay so special. The fresh flowers, fruit and other breakfast goodies, fluffy towels and bathrobes are just a few things that welcomed us upon arrival. You will not find another apartment owner who will pick you from train station, provide introductory walking tour and take your photographs. Her recommendations for restaurants were good and her vibrant personality was refreshing. We loved Dijon and "our home" away from home. The apartment is located in a pedestrian area and literally just a few steps away from the beautiful piazza and Duke's Palace,theater, churches, museums, restaurants/cafes/Halles Market, stores and everything else.
The photos were accurate and the apartment was clean and well maintained.
The train station is a 15 min walk and so easy to take the TGV to Paris or other day trips. We stayed here for five nights and had planned on some other day trips but loved Dijon so much we decided not to go anywhere else.
I have already raved about this apartment/Dijon to friends and family and dreaming of our next visit.
This was our second visit to this delightful city and our second stay in this charming apartment. Coco is the perfect host, from meeting us at the station, providing information on local attractions and events, stocking the apartment with everything you could possibly need (including delicious edibles) and making herself available to answer any queries you may have during your stay. All this without being the slightest bit intrusive. Apart from enjoying all Dijon has to offer we made a day trip to the interesting town of Dole and went on an Authentica Wine Tour, which we would highly recommend. Another wonderful visit, hopefully we can return again one day.
We have had a wonderful week in Dijon, beginning and ending with your warm, personal care for our comfort. We very much appreciated your meeting us at the station (and taking us back there at the end of our stay). We enjoyed the provisions you had bought for us, especially the cheese and the wine, and were helped very much by your guidance through the centre of Dijon. As we discovered more fully in the following days, Dijon is full of wonderful things to see. Thank you also for advice on good places to eat and how to make the most of trips to Beaune and further afield to Vézelay and the Abbaye de Fontenay. We would not hesitate to ask to be your guests again if our travels should take us back to Dijon some time in the future; you know exactly how to make your guests welcome and comfortable without being intrusive.
We had never been to France and do not speak French so we were a little anxious on our arrival in Dijon. Coco met and greeted us like old friends. She is an amazing host. We were given a drive around the city, familiarized with the apartment and then given a walking tour of the old city to give us a sense of place. The apartment was lovely and every amenity was included....TV, phone and wifi. The kitchen was stocked with food, wine, cheese and a fresh baguette! What more could we want! Coco emailed or texted us daily to see if we needed anything. The apartment is as comfortable as the pictures indicate. Everything was beyond our expectations. In walking through Dijon we discovered secret gardens and architectural wonders in every ally and doorway. There are museums, cafes, five star restaurants, walking and biking paths, and easy access to surrounding villages. We combined our trip to Dijon with a canal barge trip. It was a wonderful vacation and we will return to this area of France. We will definitely stay at myhomeindijon again. It does become your home away from home.
We stayed in this apartment for one week and we can highly recommend it to everyone who wants to visit the Burgundy. Dijon is an excellent starting point for discovering the region that has so many monuments worth travelling to (Abbey Fontenay, Cathedral of Autun etc.). Dijon itself is a very lovely town with famous works of art & religion and is also good for shopping and enjoying the kitchen of Burgundy. The apartment is situated in a very well refurbished historical building in the center of town - the location couldn't be better. The interior is very tasteful and you will also find all the practial things you need (f.i. kitchen equipment). The owner (Coco) is a very friendly and helpful person. She met with us when we arrived to show us the way to the apartment, helped us with the luggage. She gave many recomendations on where to eat and what to do, we did a small tour around the town with her. Moreover, since we arrived on Sunday, she provided some food for us so that we needn't worry about finding a restaurant immediately. There is a book in the apartment in which former guests write down their acitivities and recommendations, so guests can also rely on the experience of former guests.
