Where Exactly are you located: Centre Point! many advertisers on this site use the term 'Central London', yet for the unwary they are not! Some of them are at least an hour (some nearer two hours!) train ride into what is truly the centre of London. These apartments are beside the landmark Centre Point Tower at the top of Charing Cross Road.

The Charing Cross stone outside the station is the point where all distances in UK are measured from, so you can say we are not exaggerating about the location.

How Noisy Are The Apartments: The apartment is in a semi high-rise which overlooks but is set back from the junctions of Oxford Street + Charing Cross Road, on the small St Giles High Street. All rooms have secondary glazing so noise is not a big issue (secondary is better than double glazing - it is a whole additional sliding panel).

Clients who have viewed the apartment in person (banks, blue-chip companies, theatres always do this for longer stays) are often very surprised at how quiet this unit is for such a great, central location and we would not have had the client list above or the repeat business if this flat were too noisy. one example: for 6 years Deutschebank booked in graduates who need a quiet place to study and work hard on training modules - they would not do so if the unit was in any way unsuitable, or if feedback from the graduates was negative.

N E W S !: London Underground is rebuilding Tottenham Court Road Underground Station to relieve congestion, with a ticket hall nearly 6 times the current size, step free access and improved interchange. A new Crossrail line is being constructed, with services starting in 2017 providing 24 trains an hour. A new plazza is being created outside Centre Point. It will be great when finished, as tube journies from Heathrow will run direct to the apartment in 30 minutes - half the time it takes now! Please be aware that there is therefore construction work going on across the road, however we have had long let rentals in the building renew tenancies for 12 months, so it is not putting off renters. There may be WORKS going on (daytimes only) below the flat as the retail units are being refurbished this year

Entrance hall leading to kitchen fully-equipped and right next to living / dining room with outdoor balcony (covered for all weathers!). Head upstairs to bedroom 1 with 1x super king 6 foot wide bed + bedroom 2 with 2x single 3foot wide beds. (Bedrooms are the same size - one faces east and the other faces west. Both contain bedside tables, dressing table+mirror, sliding mirrored wardrobes, quality Dunlopillo luxury pillows, hair-dryers, laundry bags, towels, etc.). Bathroom 1 - toilet, bath with shower, large mirrored wall + basin + shaver point. There is also a guest cloakroom with a 2nd toilet, basin and mirror + shaver point. We have stayed in lots of furnished rentals and yours is probably one of the best kitted out, which made it really comfortable. Everything from the cosy chenille throws on the sofa, to the laundry soap, to the generous supply of towels, to the hair dryers, mirrors, and converters everywhere you'd want them...so well-done. Perfect location!

Chose this apartment because of the attractions encircling it. The British Museum which is just a 2-minute walk from the flat, Buckingham Palace & St. James Park, also at a short distance, London Theatreland and Oxford St. which houses the Europe's largest shopping destination are right outside our door. St. Giles Church and Phoenix Gardens can be viewed from the lobby. In addition, the flat is well appointed with sizable bedrooms and a cute balcony overlooking the city.

Perfect For Central London.

It actually gives me pleasure to write a review for this property. As previous apartments used whilst in London were unavailable we were directed to the Home Away site by our daughter and spent a month researching apartments before confirming a booking. We are so glad we did.

We found the general description and photographs accurate and the reviews of other tenants and their positive comments overall reflected our experience. The owners take an obvious pride in their property, evident from the furnishings, quality of fittings in bathroom and small kitchen, linen and numerous little touches which make a stay comfortable and rewarding.
We spent three weeks at the apartment with its main attraction being its location. It is really in the centre of all that one wishes to see. Tottenham Court Road underground is opposite, supermarkets moments away and three main bus routes within a fifty metre circle.

I must mention two things that other reviewers have not commented upon. The sounds of the two lifts being operated late at night can be annoying although we did find over time this depended largely upon who were in other apartments. In the first week of our stay they generally weren't used after about 11 pm. The other is the noise when windows were open at night, not from the Crossrail construction directly opposite but from traffic. There is excellent crossflow ventilation in the apartment and we tended to have windows open until we retired to bed then closed to block out most noise. They were very effective in this regard. However, on warm nights, which we experienced a few, it may be a little noisy to have windows left open.

Si James, the property manager, was great. He answered emails promptly and speaking with him from Australia on a few occasions, offered very helpful advice. My wife, a doctor, was booked in for a medical procedure following a preliminary visit earlier, and needed somewhere with a little comfort and space to recuperate and relax. The facilities in the apartment made this perfect for our needs/. We had a late evening flight and Si suggested we leave our bags at the apartment for collection later rather than take them to leave at Paddington Station as we have done in the past. We appreciated this and Si's time in explaining the features of the apartment. It was handy to know a phone call to him would be meet with a smile, patience and rapid assistance.

When next in London we will definitely consider using this apartment again.

Ideal Location, Great Service, Nice Property

We stayed in this flat in April, and have nothing but positive reviews. Si James was wonderful, and always available. We had a few glitches of our own doing, and he was nothing but pleasant and accommodating. Check-in was a breeze.
The location is truly ideal. We were able to walk to the two shows we'd booked, were so close to endless restaurants, Covent Garden, shops, railway stations, etc. Unfortunately Tottenham station is closed until November, but it's a quick walk to other stations (i.e. Leicester Square).
The apartment is great; all kitchen implements are provided, there is satellite tv, wireless works fine, plenty of hot water, no noise. We didn't use the laundry facilities as we were only there for a few nights, but we found that everything was exactly as described. The king-size bed was very comfortable.
We would not hesitate to recommend this property, and would love to have the chance to stay there again in the future. Overall, very, very, very good experience.

Owner's Response: Thanks, it was lovely to meet you, and I only wish you had a longer stay! Just want to let people know that Tottenham Court Road Station is OPEN. The Central Line (Red) is running normally, as is the Northern LIne (Black), except that Northern Line trains are not stopping at this station whilst some upgrading is done. Northern Line trains will stop here again from November, and meantime if you need to use this Black Line, the nearest alterntive station, Leicester Square, can be reached in about 3 minutes on foot. It's been very rewarding for me to hear that nearly every guest comments they have found our new Super-King size(!) beds comfortable, since we upgraded them last December. I chose an expensive bed make, so am very happy people have noticed the value!

Great Location

Spent a week at this apartment in February 2011. The location was fantastic. Tube stop was only steps away. Lots of attractions and restaurants very close. The apartment was in reasonably good shape. The beds were very comfortable.

Only negative was the payment process. They need to have a proper online payment process.

The perfect location

We truly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for my first visit to London. It is within walking distance of the best theater, restaurants and sites of London. The customer service was outstanding. The apt was well done, attractive, clean, secure and had everything we could possibly need. Having a balcony was an added bonus. Plenty of towels, comfortable beds and a very relaxing place to rest after a busy day of walking. Thank you.

The apartment is in a semi high-rise building on a small road called St Giles High Street, opposite the pretty St Giles in the Fields Church. This uniquely places the apartment at the direct meeting point of Soho, Convent Garden, Bloomsbury + Holborn - in an area also known as Centrepoint, the West End + Theatreland.

The rooms overlook the intersection where the top of Charing Cross Road joins New Oxford Street, Tottenham Court Rd + Oxford Street (London's main shopping streets). There are views of East and West London in the distance, so you can get some terrific sunrises and sunsets!
