Big, beautiful lodge

This lodge a big, beautiful and well located. About a 15-20 min. drive into town, you are tucked back away from everyone and we felt very secluded. We had 4 adults and 5 kids and we never ran into each other. Plenty of beds, a huge kitchen/eating area, big front yard great for sledding, hot tub on the deck.
However, we a cleaning fee was included in the charges and were told we had to clean the kitchen, the cleaning crew would not clean it. Not knowing who had stayed there before us, we did some preliminary cleaning before we even got started. We've stayed in a lot of places and have never had to do more than run the dishwasher and take all of our food. The towels in the kitchen are old and stained and the cupboards all need a good washing out. There is lots of spilled dry goods, spices, etc. We were able to run the dishwasher once before we ran out of detergent and there was no back up. We bought more at the store and Julie, the owner, told us we would be reimbursed.
The hot tub was not working when we got there. But Julie called us upon our arrival to let us know a repairman was on his way. He could not get it fixed until end of day the next day so we lost 24 hours of tubbing. Our master bedroom hamper was full to the brim with the previous renters towels. The upstairs master bedroom heat did not work. We were also asked to strip all of our beds before we left.
There is a small flat screen TV in the living room but having one more in one of the bedrooms would be nice to provide options. The attached DVD player did not work, however, the TV had a built-in DVD player that did.
There are lots of great things about this lodge and I would definitely come back if all of these things were changed.
