If you would like to watch dolphins, pelicans, other water birds and Manatees, then Nokomis Beach is paradise for you. Nokomis is a small community that is ideally situated between Sarasota and Venice. You can reach Siesta Key with some of the finest, whitest sand of the world and Sarasota with its cultural offerings, restaurants and sights in about 20 minutes. It will only take you 5 minutes to get to the smaller town, Venice, with its charming, pretty centre. Palm Garden is perfect for you if you are looking for relaxation and calm, far removed from mass tourism, yet close to the sights of the area.
