As Maine registered Guides we love, play and work Acadia. We know this island and surrounding islands thru our extensive research and work here locally. We would not live anywhere else but here...
Why Leslie chose Bernard
Chose this property because we are also sea kayak guides -registered nationally and in the state of Maine. We use to depart right off our steps. We can still depart right off our floater..We love the ocean and the harbor- for the lobstermen
What makes this house unique
You can see the lobster men coming and going each day. You can also see world class yachts pull into this harbor. Love the convenience of this village, walk to the library , the post office, the restaurant, the hiking trails, the art studios.
Very convenient and not touristy ( you will not find a t-shirt shop here) ..so we enjoy the quiet nights and the relaxing views of Cadiallac Mountain from the bedrooms and the decks. We also enjoy the firepit , fenced in yard for kids or dogs..and more. This place really has high speed and your cell phone works here from this home. Their is a printer and an easel for everyone to use also. The fireplace is great at night to relax by and we have a ton of diverse books to read if you desire...Only home on the island that takes dogs and has a fence. call for quantity of dogs.
Guestbook comments from the owner
Thank you for the view from the deck and the peacful sounds around the home. Our two Brittany Spaniels loved running from the front to the back. We have hiked everyday. There are so many places to go & so many different hikes from easy to difficult, obviously the dogs have slept well at night! We also climbed the Beech Mt. -beautiful sights from the top.
