Description of Lodge Malmedie family
Fully renovated in 2013, upscale amenities, 3 bedrooms, garden, Wi-Fi
Lodge Malmedie was built in 1979 and renovated in 2013. Antique furniture and art meet here with modern furnishing. The house is very functional and is set up with great attention to detail. It is located in Schüttdorf. Seespitz can be reached on foot in just five minutes, where the lido Schüttdorf (southern shore) is also found. The nearest ski lift / gondola is about 1 km away, during winter there is a regular ski bus shuttle to Areitbahn, Zell cable lifts - or even to the nearby Kitzsteinhorn glacier. The city centre of Zell am See can be reached on foot within about 20 minutes with a beautiful marine walk. It takes only a few minutes to the city centre by car or public transport.
The lodge offers three cosy bedrooms and accommodates up to 6 adults. The two bedrooms with double beds (180 x 200 cm ) offer ample space to still place a crib in each of them (crib is of course inclusive if required). The two bedrooms are located on the south-west side of the house and the veranda can be directly entered through the floor to ceiling doors. The third bedroom has a bunk bed (100 x 190cm), this room is located on the east side of the building. All beds have high quality mattresses. The house is surrounded by the unique mountain world of Pinzgau, and also from all the bedrooms and the living room you can see the fascinating mountain panorama. The two shower rooms with windows each have a walk-in shower, toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail. Apart from the heated shower seats there is a rain shower and a washing machine located in the large bathroom.
The spacious living room is divided into an open, bright, modern kitchen with dining area. The cosy 150 year old 'Jockel' table seats 8 people. The living room which begins with the fireplace is furnished with two rustic armchairs made of deer leather and an original chair from the 50s. The cosy sofa can accommodate three guests. The living room is always flooded with light with the wide glass front. Naturally it is also possible for you to access the large larch wood terrace from here. On the historic chest in the living room there is a flat screen TV and a music system with i-Pod docking station and bluetooth that can be used. Wi-Fi reception is there in the entire house.
Lodge Malmedie was built independent, single-storied on a 500 m2 large plot. It is located in a residential area with narrow streets. After a day of skiing, it is wonderful to relax by the fireplace. In summer the garden offers plenty of space to sunbathe on the loungers or play a round of table tennis on the lawn. A sand shell next to the garden house keeps all children occupied. The big parasol on the terrace provides shade and at the table 6-8 persons can be seated very easily.
Lodge Malmedie is a place where families and friends can feel comfortable. The house is kids-friendly; there is a high chair, cribs, toys and a sandpit.
What makes this property unique?
Everything was decorated with attention to detail in this house. Conventional materials found in the region were used in the rooms and exterior design. The lodge impresses not only with its sensational location, but also with the well thought-out, charming decor. The owners themselves live for a few weeks every year with the family in this home. Just a tip for families, as both young and elderly guests definitely feel comfortable here.
