Situated in the historic centre of 'La Macarena' district which is, nowadays, one of the most colorful districts of Seville, and one which has best conserved its traditional air. The apartment is located on a very quite street only a few meters from the street named Feria, one of the main thoroughfares. Since medieval times, every Thursday, this street hosts the “Feria Market” a rich cultural event where the streets are lined with stalls selling a vast range of wares. Daily one can walk the neighborhood where traditional commercial activity occurs and there is a vast selection of local stores and markets to purchase fresh fruit and bread. Every bar and restaurant in the neighborhood offers a wealth of history for viewing while one enjoys tasting traditional Spanish cuisine. One will also find the part of the old city walls built by the Almoravides. This section runs from the Puerta de Córdoba, now lost, to the Arch of La Macarena, the only one of the city gates still standing.

Andalusian Style and Hospitality

Our taxi stopped in front of a quintessential Spanish-style building, complete with wrought iron balconies, located on a narrow street. Jean-Pierre was waiting for us and graciously oriented us to the apartment and our location. He provided a map of recommended restaurant locations and offered other tips to make our stay enjoyable. The apartment was clean, air conditioned and had floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto the small balconies. We took advantage of the rooftop terrace on a daily basis, enjoying the views of Sevilla and our refreshments. The rooftop terrace had clothes lines which served as our clothes dryer (the apartment had a washer and clothes pins). Despite Jean-Pierre not living in the building, we saw him nearly everyday. He assisted us in coordinating taxi service for our train ride to Granada as well as our departure taxi. We rarely used public transportation whilst in Sevilla as everything was within walking distance. Everything! The Alcazar, Cathedral, a Flamenco show, El Cortes Ingles (department store) and wonderful historical sites. We walked in and past the Alameda de Hercules every day. When we needed to travel further, the bus stop was around the corner from the apartment. For the most part, our street was quiet at night. We did notice that siesta is taken seriously in our neighborhood as the stores would close from around 2-5pm. We loved the location and would definitely recommend this to our friends and families. If ever in Sevilla in the future, we will be renting here!

Great location

Nice apartment in good location, within 20 min walking distance of Santa Cruz. Lots of good bars and restaurants set along Avenue of Hercules. Nice chilled vibe at night. Owner Jean Pierre both friendly and helpful giving useful info on arrival.

Great place

Great place! I went in January which is cold in Sevilla. The room was warm with the heaters. The only bad thing was the noise. Sometimes it comes inn the nights from the streets. There is a list of restaurants. They were good to have. I went to Casa de la memoria for a flamenco show.

Excellent!

We were very pleased with this bright, airy and comfortable apartment. The rooftop deck was a big plus. We liked the nice neighborhood vibe and nearby restaurants. I enjoyed walking and running on a beautiful path along the river. The manager, Jean Pierre, was very friendly and went out of his way to do us a big favor.
