This beautiful oceanfront house is 8 minutes away from the airport in Montego Bay and offers a fantastic view of the sea. Just a few steps then you are at the private beach. Very suitable for children as the sea at the edge is flat. Good opportunities for snorkelling and diving due to an offshore reef. Other water sports nearby. Restaurants and supermarket within walking distance. Freshly caught fish every day just a few minutes walk away.

The shopping centre 'Fairview' is reachable for you in about 5 minutes away by car, taxi or bus.

Fantastic golf courses in Rose Hall and Ironshore.

The house has 2 bedrooms (king size beds) with air-conditioning and 2 bathrooms.

Why Evelyne Kalteis chose Montego Bay

When we visited Jamaica a few years ago for the first time, we liked it so well that we purchased a plot of land.

In 2012, the house has been completed and the second house is already finished so far that we can inhabit it. Jamaica is always worth a trip.

What makes this house unique

The house overlooks the sea and has a private sandy beach. Very suitable for children as the water is very shallow at the edge.

The view from the garden and from the bedrooms are beautiful. You will be outdoors almost the whole day and enjoy the warmth and sometimes the warm rain. We have found very dear Jamaican friends, who take care of the house and also like to give advice to the travellers or they also optionally accompany as a guide for a reasonable fee. Montego Bay is only 10 minutes away by car. The bus station is around 300 m away or you can take a taxi.

We love the country very much because the people there are much more relaxed than in Germany. 'Come soon'!

We not only love the turquoise-blue sea, but also the year-round green vegetation in the mountains.

Quiet, Private and so so Beautiful

Starting from the top. This property is very easy to find as it sits on the main road connecting Montego Bay, the Airport and then on to Ocho Rios, You cant miss it! Only takes 10 mins tp airport and maybe 15 to MoBay. Have no concerns about safety in the area as there is a Police station accorss the street and the area is very well patrolled since there are many very nice homes here in Ironshore.

About 1 block away to can find a Coffee shop, Ice Cream Parlor, Mini-mart, 2 bars and the most important, SCOTCHIES, the number 1 restaurant in Jamaica (Trip Advisor).

We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit which was awesome. It had upper balcony facing the ocean and a lower patio as well. There is small yard with lawn chairs and even a gazebo. Both bedrooms are air conditioned and spacious with new bathrooms and walk-in closets. The main floor had a well equipped kitchen as well a living room with cable TV and great WiFi which works all over the property. It was so nice to have the ocean just a few feet away, nothing lulls you to sleep like the waves.... so relaxing all day and being on the ocean you get a nice breeze as well.

The property owner was a breeze to deal with. She replies all emails promptly and had us booked in no time. When we arrived they made us feel like we were family! Her property manager "Mafia" (T-man was on a short vacation during our visit) was so kind and always making us laugh. If we wanted to go to town he would make sure to find us a cab or put us on the correct bus... just like family. We went to dinner one night at Scotchies and he waited until we were done so he could walk us home... and ofcourse making us laugh the whole way there.

Papa D, a local reggae singer who travels the globe alot was there as well during our stay and he was awesome. the Day we arrived he took us to the big market so we could get food etc.. and then took us to town later that day and showed us around a bit. He's a very a great guy and a really great singer as well. (we had a couple drinks one night and Evelyne, owner, brought his guitar down and not before long we were listening to the sweet sounds of reggae and the ocean only feet behind our heads... bliss.

We can not give enough thanks to them all and cant wait to return. They gave us great ideas on what to do, where to eat, and how to do it without paying more than we should.

The View was stunning and the location Grand!!!

I really loved this place. I have stayed in Jamaica many times and this is by far the best stay. I loved the view, I love the location it is close enough to nightlife that you can get there quickly but far enough that yo can relax and enjoy. TMan is the coolest dude ever. I cannot wait to return.

Amazing Views!

This property is perfect for adventurous travelers who don't like the 'big all inclusive resort' experience - it is exactly as it is presented in the listing. The outside is neat and tidy, and the inside is very clean, nicely furnished with everything you would ever need to be comfortable, and it has amazing views from both the first and second floors! The caretaker of the house is the most wonderful and kind man.. he adds to the experience, and will make sure you and your family are very well taken care of. He has his own separate quarters so no worries about privacy. Only about 5 minutes down the road is a modern shopping village where you can get anything you need... it has a grocery store, pharmacy, lots of gift shops, clothing and jewelry stores, cafes, restaurants, etc. You really don't have to worry about being in a self catering place with everything at your fingertips. The beach at the house is small and private, but if you want a larger beach area with beach bar, water sports, etc., there is Doctor Cave Beach about 10 minutes away. It was so nice to be able to have the best of both worlds.. The caretaker can set you up with a local taxi or tour guide for anything you would like to do while in Jamaica... it was easy! We used local taxis to do our shopping, and booked a tour guide for a lovely day trip to Ocho Rios. I would recommend this house to everyone who wants a real Jamaican experience coupled with all the creature comforts of home. You will deal directly with the owner to book your vacation - she is very nice and easy to work with. I'm sure we will keep in touch and stay at the house again next year.
