Neustadt is a traditional village on the border between Switzerland and the Saxon Lusatia and Bohemia (the Czech border is just 3 km away). Situated at the height of about 400 m Neustadt is situated amidst green hills. The place has all the shopping. Several good restaurants also offer the discerning guest the opportunity to go out.
The Berghof is located about 80 m above Neustadt, at the Götzinger height on the streets after Hohenstein. The mountain is crowned by a traditional country inn, to which it is lovely to walk in the evening and enjoy the Saxon wine with a magnificent view from the terrace with a beer or a quarter. In winter, this offers a special attraction - a toboggan down to the valley. Our house is located in a small quiet bistorischen settlement of 1820, surrounded by old shingle-clad farmhouses. Village-like atmosphere with the benefit of urban shopping and infrastructure.
In Rugiswalde, about 5 km away, is also offers a floodlit ski with a modern lift. From here, cross country skiing trails are groomed. The farm is located off major roads, absolute tranquility is guaranteed.
Not far away, not 200 m, start the meadows and woods, accompanied by a small stream, where children can play.
Immediately outside the front door you can enjoy wonderful walks start about to swallow Auer tip to the Czech Republic, or a high altitude hike to Ungerberg. For Ungerberg-Rugiswalde with historical observation tower and panoramic view of the neighboring mountain ranges of the Lausitz, the Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland and the Ore Mountains.
An excursion by Hohenstein in the Saxon Switzerland National Park, with wonderful hiking opportunities further. Interesting and not far is the castle Stolpen, rewarding is a visit to the Upper lock after Hinterhermsdorf in the wild and romantic gorge Kirnitzsch. Also the way past the Amselsee with the boat is beautiful. The hike to the gate according Hiterhermsdorf is very relaxing.
15 km there is the famous destinations in the Saxon Switzerland National Park with its famous spiers and stunning views (Bastion 20 km). Also recommended is a trip to Prebischtor in Bohemian Switzerland.
Enchanting is a ride on the Saxon Damfschiffahrt, the älstesten paddle steamer fleet in the world, as well as a tour of the 100 year old Kirnitzschtalbahn from Bad Schandau to Lichtenhainer waterfall. From here there is the most beautiful hiking trails in the Rear Saxon Switzerland.
On no account should you miss a performance in Europe, probably the most beautiful natural theater of Rathen. Overlooking the fabulous scenery of the Massif Bastion is every performance from opera to drama special experience.
Dresden with its Sehendwürdigkeiten is 30 km away, Prague 140 km. Pirna and Bautzen are near. Also worth seeing are Görlitz, Radebeul, Moritzburg, the Oybin with its romantic castle and monastery, or the gingerbread city Pulsnitz.
