Rittergut Heyda, located in the historical baroque ensemble with lake view and 7 hectares huge park. You can comfortably reach the following for day trips: Leipzig 40 km (zoo, amusement park Belantis, Neueseenland, Art museum, Gewandhaus-concert hall, Opera and much more), Dresden 90 km (with Zwinger palace, Semperoper-concert hall, Frauenkirche-church, Green Vault), Torgau (Lutherstadt Renaissance castle) and Meissen 70 km (Wineries, Albrechtsburg castle and Manufaktur). The nearby town Wurzen, birth place of the author Ringelnatz, has a wonderful conservative old town with cathedral precincts and castle. Meantime you can relax at our place in the greenery with boat riding, fishing (fishing license required) or bicycling tours in the surrounding Dahlener Heide. The nearby Eiscafe in the castle park of Dornreichenbach (3 km) with the adjoining zoo (Erdmännchen Gehege) is a very attractive tourist destination with lunch and exciting ice cream menu for families with children. Endless wimming opportunities. Outdoor pools and natural pools with beach are reachable within 10 minutes. Large indoor fun pools with sauna are found 30 minutes away (Saxony spa in Leipzig-Paunsdorf and Platsch in Oschatz). There are horse riding stables in the nearby villages. If anyone loves skating as a sport, there is an opportunity to practise this too on the bicycle trail Wurzen-Grimma along the Mulde and good cycling tour. Wermsdorfer forest and Dahlener Heide as well as the Jakobsweg, which go through our park give opportunity for extensive hikes. The 15 year-old daughter of the house, well trained with 4 little siblings, offers baby sitting service for parents with children.
