About this property

4 Room Apt. by Old Town Square in Historic Center, next to Garden

This is our 12th year short-term renting this apt. It is our most popular and favourite apt. You can rely on solid, professional and courteous treatment.

This 4 room apt. is located just 3 blocks from the heart of Prague’s historic center -- old town square. Private and quiet, it fronts on a garden and adjacent arcade and loggia. It is next to the small and silent, misty winding streets of the old town, as well as blocks away from the most popular nightspots and many of the city’s best restaurants.

The apartment is fully renovated and fully furnished. One bedroom has a king-sized bed, and the master bedroom has a super-king-sized bed which separates to 2 single beds, plus a living room (with sofa bed) and a kitchen. The living room and master bedroom look to the garden, where it is also possible to sit and relax or eat. The metro is a 5 min. walk. The area is very safe.

The house dates back to gothic times, and has historic details and a magnificent hand-carved late renaissance balustrade in the entry of the building. The city's most popular and visited places -- the Charle's bridge, old town square, the great Parizska street, and Wencelslaus square (shopping district) are all minutes away by foot.

The apt. comfortably sleeps up to 2 couples, and there are also numerous sofa beds for children or guests.

Quiet haven close to busy Old Town
This apartment is lovely--attractive architecture, fresh flowers inside and on window sills, quiet respite after long days of walking and seeing the sights. It is so close to Old Town Square, the river, trams, and so many lovely restaurants and shops. Robin is very helpful communicating details about arrival and arranging transportation to and from the airport. Also great that they arranged for several fans to keep the apartment cool during a very unusual heat wave. Highly recommend and would return for next visit.

Fantastic apartment in perfect location
We loved this apartment! Spent 5 nights there with our 10 and 12 year old boys and couldn't have been happier. The wood fire was a bonus which we all enjoyed after a long day of walking in cold weather. The apartment is so convenient to everything we didn't need to use any public transport as we could walk everywhere for the days we spent in Prague. (We did a couple of day trips out to Cesky Krumlov and Terezin by bus). The owners were easy to communicate with and organised our airport pick up and drop off - everything ran so smoothly. We would definitely recommend Abbot's to anyone spending time in Prague.

Perfect Location
We were two adult couples traveling together. The apartment was a perfect setup for us! The bedrooms were large, the beds were comfortable, and the separate rooms for the shower and toilet made it very easy for all four of us to get ready in the morning. The location in the city was perfect. Very convenient to all attractions, restaurants, and other sights. However, being a few streets removed from the city center reduced the noise and foot traffic from all the visitors. There was also a well-supplied market on the corner that was perfect for breakfasts and snacks. A few things to consider. The separate toilet does not have its own sink, so we ended up using the one in the bathroom or the kitchen. It worked out fine, but it is certainly not the most convenient set up. We were also not able to figure out how to use the drying function on the dryer, this could have been user error since we were unfamiliar with its operation. However if you are planning on doing laundry, it would be worthwhile to pack a drying line. Robin was the perfect owner. He was very responsive to emails, arranged a pickup for us at the train station. All together a perfect vacation.

Why they chose this property

I chose to buy a vacation rental in this location because of the profound historical value and fantastic location - blocks away from the old town square, which is the heart of the old town, that means it's located within of the best restaurants and most popular 'hotspots'-- but the house is located on quiet, winding, ancient street.

What makes this property unique

You are in the very heart of the historic old town, so all of the great sites are just beyond your doorstep.
