Each Wednesday, a large weekly market with fruits, groceries, clothing and knickknacks takes place here. A nice city park with wetland habitat, an impressive pine forest of 800 hectares, planted onto the huge shifting sand dunes, as well as a naturist beach and, a little further down at the mouth of the river Segura, the marina invite you to take long walks. The particular pride of the city is the 11 km long, very wide, and constantly cleaned beach with fine sand, which slowly levels into the water and offers ideal water fun for children and non-swimmers.
