Mountain summer for movement and joyful nature lovers

157 km of marked hiking trails and numerous mountain bike trails through the Mostviertel Alps: through deep valleys, up to the alpine meadows and the mountains promising.

Hochkar: In summer, the Hohckar is a working agricultural Almgeboet (1 380 to 1 808 m). The Hochkar presummit moves a chair lift (23 June to mid-October, daily except Friday from 9 to 16 clock), from there you walk about 20 minutes to Hochkar summit. Magnificent views of the Central Alps, the Alpine foothills and up to the Bohemian Forest. Marked trails through the Göstling Alps, the mountain lake and Hochkar, the third largest cave in Lower Austria, which is guided to entdekcne (about 1.5 hours). Sturdy shoes and warm jacket required, headlamp and helmet are provided.
