Self-contained flat situated in one of the prettiest and quietest streets in fashionable Notting Hill. Just minutes away from many trendy boutiques and restaurants in Ledbury Road and Westbourne Grove, with alfresco dining at pavement tables in summer months. One of London’s main centres for antiques, with the famous Portobello Road market only 8 minutes walk. Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens also in easy reach by foot.
Small Sainsburys supermarket just round the corner, and Whiteleys shopping mall with multiplex cinema 8 minutes away on foot.
Bus stop just two minutes away - frequent buses to all parts of central London. Notting Hill Gate tube (Central, Circle and District lines)
Well-equipped flat with wireless broadband internet access, phone, TV etc - large fully equipped kitchen with double oven and microwave. Pretty little patio garden.
We chose this place on the basis of all the good reviews and we were not in the least disappointed. I can only reassert what other guests have said: the flat is really charming and cosy, ( feels even better than it looks in the photos). It made going back home every evening a real pleasure.
The neighbourhood has this lovely London look that we like, and frequent buses are really just yards away. Thanks again Val for this great holiday.
My college age daughter and I stayed here for a week at Christmas in 2014. This is a lovely, very clean lower unit with access to the back garden. It's nicely and simply furnished (but not Ikea!) with a well appointed kitchen, and combined dining and TV room. The bedroom is in the front, with two comfortable twin beds. There is extra space: a small entry hall, and a bathroom off a hallway (which could be used as a dressing area). I could not imagine a better location: charming street, very safe, convenient to the Tube (Zone 1!), shopping, grocery stores, laundromat, cafes, and parks. The bonus is that Val was responsive to our questions and needs. Do stay here! You will enjoy this sweet apartment at a great price.
Everything about this apartment is very sweet, it was really perfect place for the two of us.
It was our first visit to London and we were not shore if we have chosen the write place to stay. But this apartment was everything we needed: excellent and pleasant location, good connections to all destinations in London, in the same time quiet and perfect for sleeping. Portobello market is near, just few blocks away-there You can find nice restaurants, coffee shops and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
Two blocks from the apartment is Beach Blanket Babylon- Italian restaurant which we loved.
The back garden in the apartment is beautiful, and the kitchen good equipped. The owners are pleasant people and they were very helpful with some advices about the neighborhood, connections and some attractions.
So we recommend this property, and if it is possible, we would like to stay there again when visiting London.
As noted by other reviewers, this flat has all the necessary comforts of home with a great garden patio. The location is wonderful, close to the up-and-gentrified center of Notting Hill, with bus lines galore providing transport to the top tourist attractions. It can take over half an hour to get to the West End by bus, but the Notting Hill Tube station provides faster transport if desired.There's a small Sainsburys market located a 5-minute walk away which supplied all of my grocery needs, with an ATM right outside the door. There are also restaurants galore in the immediate neighborhood. Best of all perhaps is the "safe" feeling of the neighborhood, and night time silence for a good night's sleep.
My daughter and her friend rented this cute apartment (06/19-06/24/2013). The owner Val was wonderful to work with. This being my first VRBO transaction ever, I felt uncomfortable with sending the entire amount of the rental. She understood and worked out an installment plan. This was really very nice of her considering we booked so close to the arrival date. Safety is extremely important for 2 girls traveling alone, the owner Val was gracious to keep her eye on them in case they needed help as she lives on site, she provided land line numbers and emergency contact number, she really went above and beyond to make me and their father feel at ease.
My daughter said the apartment just as described, very clean, in a great location a few steps away from local restaurants and shops. The owner was very nice and helpful, she helped them organize an airport transfer for our departure and was kind enough to provide wake up calls. They really enjoyed their visit to London and would definitely return and book this apartment for future visits. She thanks the owner for her kindness and attention.
We (Senior Couple) spent one week in this apartment. The location was good the apartment was clean and neat. There are a lot of restaurants and services available in the area and the neighborhood is quite nice. Bus transportation was handy and best from this location. The owners are friendly and nice and were very helpful.
