We had a wonderful time during our stay at the Waterfall House. The cottage was very clean and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. The inkeeper, Shirley, was very pleasant and helpfull. We also had neighbors staying the lakehouse who were wonderful. The propety was very quiet and serene. Our dog Jasmine who recently lost her best friend Buddy had a great time and seemed to come out of her shell during our viisit.

We had frends come for one night who also loved the cottage and told us we were lucky to find such a nice place. We plan on spending our next summer vacation at one of the cottages and would definietly recomend this place to our friends and family.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

The photos and description looked wonderful which is why we rented this place for the weekly rate requested. It was certainly not consistant with the quality of similar rentals in the area. No A/C and roll out windows were mostly broken. Sliding doors and window treatments were not functioning correctly. Beds were terrible. Furniture all old and worn out with bad odor. No beach whatsoever. Boats in poor shape and did not trust them to take out on water.Yard and water line overgrown and not anything like picture. No linens, 3 towels and no wash cloths. Our recommendation would be to ask for recent photos or better yet have an area RE agent run over and look at it for you. It is Absolutely Not Worth the asking price per week. It's laughable that she is asking that much. Ask for recent references of folks who have stayed there.
This review will no doubt be pulled but we have reviewed this property on other sites so... Hopefully you will not be taken like we were. Other than that, she was a very nice lady. Her son was also nice who lives in the trailer next to the cottage.

Lakehouse stay was the Best

My wife and I had a great time at Dean Pond staying at the Lakehouse.
It is centrally located in Massachusetts to alllow for visitors and far enough away to think you were in
NH or VT. Great fishing, great views, real relaxing.
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers

Relaxing in a hammock, watching the lake waves lap up on the shore, a cool drink in hand with the smell of barbecue wafting over. Bliss! Such a peaceful place. Also enjoyed some festive fireworks and socializing with other guests. Loved going out in the boats. Thanks for a great stay!
