The Beach House is located at 1018 Lake Avenue South. Just three blocks from the Aerial Lift Bridge and all the amenities of Canal Park. Private beach access is an added bonus.
The house has been newly remodeled with brand new wood floors and stone shower installed. Also, the bathroom has a soaking tub. In addition, a new deck has been added above the detached garage.
The firepit in the backyard is ideal for those beautiful summer nights. There is a also a gas barbeque for use. This is one of only a few houses located directly 'on the beach'. Tenants have their own access to and from the beach.
House is located next to numerous fishing charters and water related activities. Owners are life long residents of Park Point and can offer any advice regarding must see and must do attractions in Duluth.
Coming from New York, we appreciated the terrific house, surroundings, extraordinary Lake Superior and the delightful Canal Park area.
The house was perfectly neat and clean. We can recommend this house to any family that loves a true beach holiday.
We spent 5 days with our son and his family, including our 3-year-old granddaughter! We had a wonderful family vacation that included time on the beach, time at Canal Park and other sightseeing in Duluth and time around the campfire and on the deck overlooking Lake Superior. The owners were very responsive, without being intrusive, and provided a great setting for our vacation. House was very clean and well-maintained. Highly recommended if you are looking for a great place to stay in Duluth that takes advantage of the Lake Superior shoreline!
The Park Point Beach House was in the perfect location right on Lake Superior! House was a 5 minute walk down the beach or street to all of the amenities and festivities in Canal Park. Our extended family (with 15 month old) stayed here over a long weekend, which was perfect for those that simply wanted to relax and read, explore Canal Park, or play at the beach. House was well stocked with kitchen supplies and amenities (even ice!). Deck on the garage was perfect to view ships coming into the canal or watch fireworks in the harbor. Owners were very helpful and deposit returned quickly.
This is the place to get the true feel of the beach and harbor shipping action without the crowds. My favorite place to stay in Duluth! A private deck to see ships come in and go out. A quick walk down to see up close if you choose. Hiking beyond the airport at the end of park point. Easy to get to good restaurants but nice well stocked home to cook if you choose. Very clean and comfortably beach house with friendly owners. Easy to work with and professional also. We attended a nearby wedding and I felt like a local not having to hang out in hotel. I would recommend this property and hope to return.
We had a great Memorial Day Weekend at your home. The location is undeniably one of the best in Duluth. When we drove up and looked out the backyard, it felt like we were in Cape Code. The backyard is on Lake Superior and only a short 3 block walk down the beach to Canal Park. The house was perfect for our family of 5, but could easily accommodate a few more people. The fire pit was put to use each night as we watched the boats coming and going. We accomplished a lot in 3 days: Toured the SS William Irwin in Canal Park, LOVED the alpine coaster at Spirit Mountain, toured Glensheen Mansion, took a drive up to Hawk Ridge and spent time at Adventure Zone/Vertical Endeavors. At the end of each day, it was nice to come back to our beautiful house with updated amenities (with all the extracurricular activity expenses, the grill and kitchen came in handy)!!!
This was a beautiful house, perfect location and an easy walk to Canal Park. We had two families stay during the Tall Ships Festival and this house was perfect for our getaway. Our kids loved the beach, the owner was great to work with. We hope to rent again here. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
