Hey There! Life has been quite a fun ride. Born in Dallas- on a quarter horse ranch-- big hats, belt buckles and hair! Then swept in Los Angeles to live a very magical life in the hills and beach of our fabulous city. Met everyone.. did everything.. loved every minute. And so will you. I have worked as a party planner -- so no request will seem too detailed and I want you to call on me to help you seek the best of our fair city. I am an interior designer and love to make people happy with style and comfort.
I raised my daughter in this house and started a little business making baby shoes. The business grew and we moved to Santa Barbara. We loved it here and found the neighborhood charming and safe, I never want to sell this house. We poured much love into the remodel and will always keep this home for friends and relatives that need their LA Home!
Location! Location! Location! Located right by the best walking area of West Hollywood (between Santa Monica Blvd. and Melrose), this house is exactly where you should be in Los Angeles! That is, close to the Sunset strip, the shops, the restaurants and the nightlife and just a few minutes away from Beverly Hills and Hollywood! The house which was custom redone in 2010-- with its combination of old world architecture with modern updates; hickory hard wood floor; Venetian plaster walls; a custom designed kitchen; bathrooms; private backyard, with beautiful landscaping that includes 100 year old tree... Arthur.
My husband, myself and a couple rented Vista Casa for a short LA stay. It is the perfect location for West Hollywood visitors. It was close to everything! It was exactly as described and clean. Shabby chic décor and roomy enough for the 4 of us.
The owner and/or property manager communicated through email. She gave us lots of helpful information on sightseeing and other area recommendations.
I hope to come back to LA and stay again at Vista Casa. It was perfect.
I rented Vista Casa for myself and my daughter, son-in-law and 1 1/2 year old grandson. I am from LA and know the neighborhoods well and this place was a perfect choice as we wanted to be near Hollywood for a family event. It was clean, furnished nicely, in a fantastic location and equipped with all of the amenities one might need including a pac n play crib. The kitchen was quite large and and the kitchen / dining area / living room were far enough away from the bedrooms that we didn't have to be quiet after putting the baby to sleep. While we didn't cook (order Thai Food in), it had a great kitchen for group cooking.
I was concerned because all of the furniture was white but it wasn't stuffy or too formal, we just had to be extra careful with our red wine and 1 1/2 year old.
We took a two block walk in the morning to Melrose where we had a great breakfast at the Blu Jam cafe (it was jammed with a line waiting to get in on opening) and did some shopping at trendy boutiques later in the day for shoes and shirts. It was close to Runyon Canyon a favorite hiking spot of mine, just north of the house. The owner, Tressa whom I never met but communicated with extensively by email, provided a lot of information about where to shop in the area and websites to visit to plan excursions around LA. She was especially fantastic to me since I left an important item in the house and she retrieved it from the house and mailed it to me the next week.
My boyfriend and I had some trouble finding a bar nearby that was comfortable for middle aged people seeking night life, so do a bit of research if you are looking for a nightcap and you are over 30.
I would go back again!
We arrived in LA and were scheduled to stay in a 2 bedroom apartment in West Hollywood. Unfortunately, we were greeted by a call from the property manager telling us that a pipe had broken in the apartment and it was uninhabitable. Luckily, he was an awesome guy (property #3688288ha) and he found us Vista Casa that day. What a great place and location. Melrose is a great street to be near for browsing and restaurants. Treesa couldn't have been more helpful. She gave us a great list of restaurants and talked to me at length about the area and things to do. My wife and I would wake up, sit on the front porch to drink our coffee and enjoy the beautiful yard. Rent and enjoy!
Vista Casa was everything it claimed to be and more. Our family of three arrived to find a clean, chicly decorated and beautifully landscaped retreat. Waiting for us on the kitchen counter was a bottle of wine and a basket of assorted quality snacks to refresh us from our day long travel. The Kitchen was fully equipped and pantry was full of cooking essentials, so putting together a delicious meal was easy after a quick trip to the Whole Foods Market right up the street. Our beds were comfortable and made-up with nice cotton bedding. There was plenty of parking and having a washer and dryer on site was an added bonus. We found the location gave us easy access to all the LA attractions. We highly recommend Vista Casa and frankly we now consider it Our LA Home!
We arrived back home on the 5th of Feb 2014, and it has taken me a while to post a review. i travelled with my husband, mother in law and two kids (aged 4 and 2). It was a very warm, clean and safe feel from the moment we stepped in. The housekeeper was so friendly and I really felt what it would be like if we lived in this lovely suburb. We rented a car, and went to Universal, outlets, Rodeo Drive, Grove etc.. everything is close and my mother in law walked up to Santa Monica Blvd with the kids and visited delis etc..we stayed at total of 7 nights. It was enough room for us all, kitchen is huge and spacious. the manager of property is super contactable, and her daughter lives down the road which made us feel at ease. This was the first time I rented out a property instead of getting a hotel, and I would do this again next time we come to LA. i would most definitely stick with Tressa's properties again the next time we travel (especially around LA, it is more laid back, and I prefer staying in a home rather than a hotel, you have more room, and get more for what you pay)
Place was AWESOME. Great convenient area; property was everything as described in the listing and more. So many extras; coffee and spices already there, soaps and lotions too. Oooh, I can't forget the 'welcome' basket of snacks and wine. That was really handy after just getting there after traveling and not having gone to the grocery yet - it was nice to take the edge off our hunger before we hit the food isle. This property gets an 11 in my book.
