Had lots of fun
Very nice, clean and well supplied 1 bed room apt. This place is in the middle of everything and the pool was GREAT. I also liked the fact the this unit was in a gated apt complex and they provided bags and chairs for the beach.
Only a few issues: One is the check in process. You pay your balance in full days before you arrive but you do not know where you are staying until the day before, or in our case, the day of your check in. Kinda nerve racking. There was a 19 inch TV in the living room??? Pretty small for my taste, but this is just personal preference . We were on vacay so we did not spend a lot of time in front of the tube. Also, this place has NO children in it. We were there for a week with our 2 year old and there were no children in sight. Only young professionals and college kids. However, there is a very nice park a few blocks away.
Over all I give this place an 8 out of 10. The price is great for the location and it has easy access to the freeway.

Our check-in process is very specific and easy to follow. The rental review described from this guest, for our property, was this guest's first vacation rental experience and the "nerve racking" feeling she had, as she stated, may have just been a result of the "first time jitters". If you are always used to hotels with established business names and reputations, securing a vacation rental through email/phone/online, for the first time can be a little scary....you are not sure what to expect or what could go wrong. I did leave a voice mail for her the day before, which she said she had not received, and I had been communicating with her by phone multiple times the week prior to arrival.
We make it easy for our guests to access their rental anytime starting at, or after their contracted check-in time, at their own leisure. We operate similar to a hotel in this regard. All guests have the main address, so they know where they're going far in advance, and they receive their room information on the day of check-in, or or in some cases, several days before checking-in.
Television
We believe most of our guests are not renting to sit and watch tv, or make that activity the focus of their travel experience. We have, however, upgraded many of our rentals to 37" tvs and will continue the upgrade transition until all rentals have 37" tvs.
Lodging Facility
Our rental properties do have families renting for long term and short term. I believe this guest was out and about all day exploring the greater San Diego area, nearly almost every day of their stay, and perhaps just did not have a chance to mingle with any of the other families at our lodging facility. The property they lodged at, is occupied by mostly working professionals, many empty long term rentals that are quite often purchased by young couples looking for a first home, and some graduate students who own, or who's parents own the property they are occupying. The property they lodged at is very quiet and very upscale. At this particular lodging facility, most of our guests compliment us on how quiet and relaxing their lodging experience was.
