I stayed at the property for a week from the 16th May 2009 and found the property had almost everything i would have at home.The views spectacular, the village of South Queensferry as everything you need from pubs, restaurants and shops with the train station only a mile away to explore other areas. My only critisms was that the bed although a king size was very low to the floor and i am 6' 6" and my partner 5' 9" also the patio doors dont slide just leane open.You can do meals in or eat out anything you need is in the property and i would certainly stay there again and recommend it to my friends its a great base.

Best of both worlds

Lovely flat, clean, modern and comfortable. Fabulous views and the tidal rock pool provided great bird watching. Close enough to get quickly into Edinburgh (15m on train, station <1m away), but rural too with cycle rides into Fife or along the canal into Edinburgh. We hope we can go again.

Apartamento extraordinario. Instalaciones perfectas. Ubicación magnífica en Queensferry, pequeña localidad a 20' de Edimburgo (hay una parada de autobús a 50 mts, aunque no resulta barato). Está próximo, así mismo, de un buen supermercado y de varios establecimientos de comida rápìda (chino, indú, fish&chips,...). Las vistas, tando desde dentro de la casa como en el exterior, son increíbles (tal cual se reflejan en la fotografía). Absolutamente recomendable.

South Queensferry is an almost magical waterfront village with its cobbled streets and raised terraces almost like going back in time. If you have ever seen the Hollywood movie Brigadoon with the mythical Scottish village that appears out of the mist only every 25 years ............ well with the twinkling village lights and the still waters of the Firth at night !

The oldest church still in use in the whole of Scotland is a mere 300m from Shore Road - Priory Church of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel originally founded in 1330 ! Hopetoun House - 'Scotland's Finest Stately Home'- is also only 2 miles away , whilst St. Andrew's , the home of golf, and the Open Championship course of Muirfield are both but a relatively short distance away. Yet all this is a mere 10-15 min from the centre of Edinburgh. ** Shore Road also has FREE WIFi **
