Walk through the front door and immediately absorb the Vermont atmosphere. You experience a casual, comfortable environment which just encourages relaxation. The very next thing you will notice is the incredible view and the vast expanse of Lake Champlain through the huge picture window and French doors. Your eye will then lead you to the stunning majesty of the Adirondacks.

After absorbing all of this you will then be curious to explore the remainder of the house where you will then find the large & spacious master bedroom. Complete with a King Size Bed well suited for comfort and sleeping late. This is encouraged by the ability to open the mstr. bdrms. French Doors and feel the breeze off the lake and watch the waves roll in. A pergola was added over the doors to add additional privacy on the deck. The bedroom also offers a full compliment of dressers, large closets and a full, private master bath.

A very well equipped kitchen with modern appliances will provide modern conveniences and help to keep you well fed and fully satisfied. We provide several cooking gadgets such as waffle makers, quesadilla makers and other cool little things for you to utilize.

Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Vermont Experience. You can watch the kids/family/friends jump off the dock, play on the seasonal private beach or just jump on your boat and Explore Lake Champlain.

Don't feel like going out or it happens to rain that day. Once again....No Worries! We've got that covered too.......

4 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, 2300 square feet of living area. Large dining table. 4 televisions with satellite in 3 bedrooms & 2 living rooms. 52' big screen TV, DVD library & games.

Two separate living rooms:

Upstairs: 52' big screen television, DTV, couch, recliner, Downstairs: TV w/ DTV & DVR, couches, bar, etc -Deck access

Board games, books, DVD's, internet access and plenty of space so that everyone can have their privacy or simply mingle if they so chose.

One unique feature is the two living rooms. Each on a different floor. This lends itself to privacy when multiple couples are vacationing together and also allows a large and separate area for the children to gather. Thus, allowing them their 'space' and giving the adults 'their space'

The additional bedrooms are located upstairs along with another full bath. All are in keeping with the theme of the property and very comfortable.

Full laundry and a half bath are located on the main floor just off the kitchen. Thus, allowing quick and easy access for all as well.

After a couple of days of R&R you will want to explore the local area. Once again...no worries...we've got you covered. Close to golf, adventure & historical attractions, casual & fine dining, antiquing and cultural experiences.

The Vermont Lake House is a Four Season property and offers an array of activities relevant to each particular season. About Marty

My wife and I just love to travel and vacation all over the world. However, we were blessed with a son and needed to settle down. We figured if our travel was limited with the little one we should get a home that has the most vacation fun possible....so we did! This was originally our home and we developed it with TLC we hope that you will find it as warm and comfortable as we did. Oh...the home is very 'child friendly' as well.

Marty purchased this house in 2003

Why Marty chose Addison, VT

My wife and I Love life in Vermont. We are huge fans if hiking, boating, skiing and snowmobiling. This house placed us directly in the middle of all of this.

Additionally;Burlington,Middlebury and Vergennes provide a nice mix of culture and entertainment. Fort Ticonderoga is rich in history and just across the bridge to NY. We are centrally located just minutes from cultural & entertainment cities so you may enjoy various activities with your friends and family.

What makes this house unique

This property is unique in so many ways. We can accomodate either small or large parties in total comfort. The layout of the house is conducive to allowing several different groups to gather together while each maintaining their privacy.

We have hosted a few family reunions and our guests always compliment us on the fact that no one feels crowded. With two living rooms, office area, 1600 sq feet of outside decks and a dock different age groups tend to gather at various locations throughout the property. The kids have their own living room, adults their area, BBQing on the deck and others on the dock and in the water all at the same time.

Sunsets are incredible over the Adirondacks are breathtaking. Sunrises over the Green mountains are equally as inviting.

Lake access for boats, cross country skiers, ice fisherman, snowmobilers.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Heaven!

We had a family reunion in Vermont and this double-decker lake house made the vacation absolutely PERFECT. Enough room for all, great views and amenities. We had days where we never left the house and were perfectly happy. Highly recommend this home for a memorable vacation.

Perfect for Restoration or Exploration

  • 5 out of 5
Spacious, comfortable and well appointed, our Addison rental served our group's dual purposes with equal aplomb. It served as a home base for four hard core fishing fans and a relaxing hideaway for three other adults, and could have easily held several more without crowding. The home was beautifully appointed and as clean as our own, and exceptionally comfortable. The WiFi allowed the "pre-retired" to check in on work and stay connected, while the scenery allowed us all to escape and enjoy the incredible lakeside view and awesome sunsets from multiple decks. Supplies and dining were readily available within a short drive. Our host, Marty, was a pleasure to deal with at every step and very responsive to our specific needs. We hope we can return, and highly recommend both the property and the area. Oh - and the fishing is just incredible!

Serene Weekend Getaway

  • 5 out of 5
Nestled along a quiet little road directly on scenic Lake Champlain, this property provided the perfect sense of tranquility that our group (all of whom are twenty-somethings residing in New York City) so desperately desired. We found its location to be welcomingly secluded but not too remote as to inhibit sight-seeing, grocery shopping, etc.

The house was spacious, comfortable, and clean. It possessed a great deal of character thanks to its charming décor, colorfully painted walls, and sloped ceilings on the upper floor. We had six people in our group, but the house can undoubtedly accommodate many more comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked, the appliances were terrific, and the (rather enormous) outdoor gas grill worked like a charm. We enjoyed several family-style meals at the large dining room table. The living room, with it's cozy couches, blankets galore, and breathtaking views of the lake, was surely a highlight of the house. The only thing missing was a fireplace, but this wasn't a problem since the heating system proved plenty effective. Although it was a bit too cold in mid March to utilize the abundant deck space, we'd love to return during the summer, which is likely the optimal time to visit.

Marty, the property owner, is great. He's responsive, flexible, congenial, and highly professional. He did a great job responding promptly to our emails, answering any questions we had, and making us feel at ease while staying at his house. He even graciously allowed us to reschedule our trip when an imminent snowstorm endangered our drive up on the weekend we'd originally scheduled.

Overall, the experience was exactly what we were looking for, and we felt completely satisfied. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 out of 5
The house was perfect for us, not too far from all the tourist stuff and at the same time gave us the calm quite getaway location we longed for. The kitchen was well stocked & the house had all the amenities we needed. The views from the deck were beautiful and breathtaking. My friends kept saying it was the most clean and well kept place amongst all the vacation houses we have booked. Marty was great to work with, very responsive & highly professional. Would love the visit the house again during summer.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the kind words and it was a pleasure for us to host your Vermont getaway. We are also very pleased to hear that you found the property to be one of the cleanest you have experienced. I just gave the cleaning crew a little bonus after reading you kind words. I also "incentivised" them and told them that they will get the same bonus every time someone leaves a great review regarding the cleanliness of the property. Consequently, anyone that wants the cleaning crew to earn a little extra cash feel free to drop us a note.

Late Fall Stay

  • 5 out of 5
The house was perfect for me and my two grown children and their families. It gave is plenty of space to relax and enjoy some family time in the late fall. The views of the lake and Adirondaks from the multi-level decks were spectacular. The large upstairs bedroom/recroom was perfect for my daughter's family with two small children.
