ONLY A DREAM AWAY...OLD HAWAII'S GIFT OF ALOHA!!
By now, you have discovered that you have your choice of probably a hundred vacation homes. So why should you select Skipper's out all those homes instead of one of those places in Princeville? The answer is simple: if you want to experience your Kauai vacation in a town setting, choose Princeville. But if you want to be on Kauai in the natural, unspoiled beauty of Hawaii, then Skipper's in Moloa'a Valley is what you are looking for!
Skipper's Beach Cabana is a newly-built plantation house nestled away in the enchanted Moloa'a Valley. If you look at a map of Kauai, you will find Moloa'a Bay on the upper right hand corner. Out of the chaos of tourist destinations, the only modern feature about this place is the peaceful comfort of this home and its amenities.
This is what you can expect at Skipper's:
--three very comfortable queen beds and a self-inflating mattress
--Satellite TV on the flat screen TV
--a fully-stocked modern kitchen with stone countertops
--a portable crib in the bedroom and a high chair in the dining room
--two modern baths with matching stone countertops
--a refreshing outdoor Hawaiian Shower
--a large living area with numerous windows to bring the beauty of Kauai inside
--a large outdoor lanai for outdoor dining, if you wish
--beach equipment in the garage
--local and long distance calling (using a card provided at the cabana)
--Verizon Wireless Phone capability
The surrounding jungle beckons you with lush vegetation, tropical songbirds and the muted sound of the nearby ocean surf. The large grounds contain palm trees, banana trees and other fruit trees for your enjoyment.
And oh, the beach!!! The highly-rated Moloa'a Beach is only a five minute walk away. Since this golden sand beach is off the beaten path, you will often find yourself alone in the expansive sands. If you like swimming, snorkeling with schools of colorful fish, and secluded sun tanning, you will love Moloa'a Beach.
WHAT OUR GUESTS TELL US ABOUT SKIPPERS...
In a word, it was perfect. My wife is a tough customer when it comes to interiors and she was blown away at how tasteful, relaxing, fun, and well-though-out the place was. Every time we needed something, it was there. It had a great tropical feel and the surroundings were rejuvenating, including the cats and chickens. We enjoyed being there so much that we hardly bothered to eat out and just grilled fish about every night. We watched movies and just hung out and enjoyed time as a family (we must have watched Scooby Doo and the Ghost Pirates 7 times!). When we left for the last leg of our trip, for which we stayed at the Hyatt, we were seriously sad and depressed to be leaving our home away from home. We would stay there again in a second and recommend it highly to anyone considering a vacation to Kauai--especially if they have kids and want a more relaxing atmosphere than expensive resorts & restaurants.
Thank you and we hope to stay there again soon! Matt F.
Thank you, Tony, for everything. It was more than we ever expected and the accommodations were exactly what we were looking for. My husband already had 3 people inquire about where we stayed and wanting information. We are definitely hoping to get back but next maybe just the two of us.

We had a fantastic time at Skipper's Beach Cabana, which was the perfect base for our day trips around the island. The house and the valley are just gorgeous. And Moloa'a beach is now our favorite on the island... Armin H.
We got back home late last night and are already missing the islands. Of the three homes we rented on the islands, yours was the best. So clean and such an impressive attention to detail we've not seen before in our travels with everything needed to make the most of our stay and the outside shower was a total bonus. The beach was perfect and never crowded.
We hope to be back sooner rather than later. Myron and Hanna M.
The best of both worlds! Rural beauty and yet close to civilization--you will notice that Skipper's is centrally-located to all the fun activities Kauai has to offer. Wonderful restaurants and shopping are 15 minutes in either direction on the highway.
Come experience Skipper's Aloha on Kauai--after all, it is only a Dream Away.

Our multicultural family of six has always loved Moloa'a Bay, and in 2008, we built this home to come to and share with you! It has been a dream place for us, and we hope that you will also enjoy your Kauai dream vacation at Skipper's.
Tony Albertoni purchased this house in 2008
We were looking for something besides the condo on the beach in congested tourist destinations. If you are looking for peace, beauty and tranquility, then this vacation rental is just what you may be looking for!
Our family stayed at Skippers and had a great experience! Skippers is located in a beautiful valley, within walking distance to Moloaa Beach. The home was very clean and charming with the "Skipper" theme decorations. The home was well-stocked with everything we needed. My wife commented that having a washer/dryer and beach gear (beach umbrella, chairs, beach towels, snorkeling gear, and boogie boards) made staying here so much better than a hotel. I agreed! We had fresh fruit from the yard every day. It is obvious that the house is newer as well, because the whole house (including bathrooms!) feels new, clean, and fresh. Every evening we watched a few episodes of Gilligan's Island with our kids, who had never seen it before. There are many good DVD options available in the home. I also felt that the location was great. It was an easy drive north to the Hanalei Bay area or an easy drive south to Kapaa, Lihue, and Poipu. After a few days, staying here felt like home. This is the perfect location for a family!
We initially set our trip for 2013 but due to health problems, we couldn't make the trip. We vowed to make it to Hawaii in 2014. We stayed at Skipper's for 5 nights. My wife, 2.5 year old daughter, and I enjoyed the somewhat remote setting. Upon turning off the highway to go to Skipper's there is a great fruit stand, stock up on island fruits there. The home was well stocked with all of the kitchen and bath items you could need. The home was clean, and we really enjoyed both outdoor showers. The one next to the garage was really handy for getting sand off of your stuff after the beach. We really enjoyed our time at Skipper's but only gave 4 stars because of no air conditioning... I was ok with it, as most Hawaiian homes don't have AC. However, my wife would have loved it. Thank you Tony for making our trip finally happen and making it a success.
We stayed at Skipper’s this October. We can’t say enough great things – from the cabana to the owner we had an amazing trip! The house is spacious and outfitted with everything you need – we traveled with a young toddler and took advantage of the pack-n-play and the highchair. The beach gear came in handy (umbrella’s, buckets, snorkels, towels, etc.); the outdoor shower was amazing; the yard was exceptionally maintained and was very private – a little slice of tropical paradise. Moloaa bay is amazing and only about a 5 minute walk from the house. We went to the bay almost every day and there was usually only one or two other people on the beach. The owner, Tony, was great to deal with and had a lot of helpful information about the island in general. Can’t say enough great things about this property and owner. We wish we were back there!
This is a quick review of Skippers. My family never made it to Kauai due to a last minute medical problem with family member. I had prepaid with Tony (the owner) a little less than a month before our stay. Two days before our scheduled departure to Kauai, we had the medical problem. I contacted Tony and advised him that our trip was in jeopardy not knowing what to expect. Tony truly cared about our situation and unfortunately we were unable to make to Kauai. Tony's communication was excellent, and our situation was resolved more than amicably. I have used VRBO on numerous occasions and have to say that without a doubt Tony is the best owner I have dealt with. Mahalo.
I've been coming to Kauai on and off since 1977. Since that first trip, Moloa'a Bay has been one of my favorite places to spend a day at the beach. Our recent trip to Kauai was the first time we actually stayed in Moloa'a instead of making day trips to that wonderful place. For us, it was a perfect location in which to stay and Skipper's house was a perfect fit for us too.
Waking up to birds singing (and yes, roosters crowing... It is Kauai after all) and the sound of the wind in the banana trees and coconut palms was great way to start the day. The four minute walk to the beach each morning to watch the sunrise was also great. We saw really great sunrises, green sea turtle on the beach (before sun up), and humpback whales breaching as the sun came up. Then a nice walk back to Skipper's house for coffee and breakfast on the lanai. Perfect.
The house was clean and well organized, the outdoor shower was fantastic, and the garden and landscaping were really well maintained.
Thanks Tony for making this wonderful spot available. We'll be back, for sure.
My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Skipper’s Cabana in Kauai.
It was everything we were expecting and more. We loved the area and the accommodations. It was great being able to pack up a few things and walk down to the beach. We enjoyed using the boogie boards, sand mats, water shoes, masks, snorkels and fins all provided and stored so nicely in the garage. There were beach chairs, beach towels and sun umbrellas too. My brother and sons enjoyed fishing. Having a rinse off area for all the equipment, right outside the garage was very convenient. It was great having a washer and dryer too.
Skippers was a perfect fit for our family. We had 5 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed being able to sit in the living room and look out
into the yard. We spent lots of time on the deck and at the kitchen table playing games in the evening. We cooked most of our meals at the house. The kitchen offered all the comforts of home. It was great being able to barbeque outside as well. The outdoor shower just outside the master bedroom was amazing. It is where most of us took our showers.
There are so many things to do in the area. Nine days wasn’t long enough! We can’t wait to go back!
Thanks Tony and Lisa, my family enjoyed our stay at Skippers.
