Our Local Manager, Mariza Garcia (297) 7409825 is always available to help with special requests, answer questions about Aruba, make restaurant recommendations and give advice about sight seeing excursions and activities. We have a special arrangement with the MVC hotel next door for beach chairs and chaise lounges should you require them.
My family rented Oceania 222 from May 14-20, 2013. There were seven of us, my husband and I, my two daughters and their husbands and my 20 month old granddaughter. The condo was beautiful and the balcony view was of the ocean. We were surrounded by pools and the property manager was amazing. Security and the business center were extremely friendly. You felt like you knew everyone well by the time you left. The three bedroom two bath condo was spectacular and had everything we needed. We brought our iPads and were able to connect to free wi-fi provided by the condo. We had all of the amenities and were very relaxed. Best vacation ever!
I just spent 8 nights at Oceania 222 with my wife and two other couples. When booking and preparing for the trip, the owner was prompt in responding to e-mails and sent easy to follow instructions on where to check in, how everything in the condo worked, and suggestions for groceries, restaurants, etc. On arrival, the condo was found as advertised. Everything was clean and in working order. The three bedrooms provided more than enough room for the 6 of us and offered views of the beach/ocean as well as the condo pool area. The master bedroom had its own refrigerator, coffee maker, sink, etc in addition to those out in the main living area. I found the ice maker in the bedroom fridge didn't work, but with the other one we never had an issue getting enough ice. The beds are comfortable, and noise was never an issue. The property has a couple of different pools, and a small workout facility.
Eagle beach was right across the street, and close to a vendor who would rent beach chairs for the day. This is a fantastic beach for swimming or just relaxing. We even managed to catch some fish almost daily casting right off the beach. There are plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance, but if you want to go a little farther the bus stop is just outside the front gates. You can take the bus pretty much anywhere for about $2 US.
Overall I was very satisfied with the rooms, and LOVED the location. I am hoping to return sometime in the future.
I must say that we were extremely happy with our 8 day stay at this condo. It was everything the pictures showed as well as totally accessible to everything we planned during our visit. We were met by the property manager, who is wonderful, within minutes after our arrival and he provided a thorough tour of the spaces, as well as any and all information for contacting him. He also provided a file with numerous restaurants and activities we could do while there. We had a rental car but also utilized the taxi service for traveling out and about which was very prompt and informative. We traveled to the high rise area as well as downtown for a day of shopping which was extremely close and easy to get to. The owner was extremely helpful and provided us with any and all information that we could want. Our only regret was there are no "beach chairs" other than the plastic type which we utilized on the balcony. We LOVED our stay here and will definitely look to rent again from the owner. He and his property manager were AWESOME!! Thank your for a wonderful visit and look forward to visiting again!
To be fair I will have to give full marks for location and amenities of the complex and the amazing uncrowded beach. We walked for miles every morning and were able to travel easily to every part of the island we wanted to see.
The unit was spacious , clean, great balconies and overall a comfortable place to stay.
There are some deficiencies that,in our opinion , would cause us pause to rate this rental unit as a true Luxury rating.
Having paid what one would consider a Luxury rate one would reasonably expect full proper sets of patio furniture on each balcony and folding portable beach lounge chairs not the cheap plastic stacking chairs provided with the expectation that they should double as both. The chairs are awkward to carry over to the beach and not comfortable . Hate to sound childish but all the other renters we saw were provided with proper beach loungers and patio furniture. Not to pick away but some of the kitchen utensils are rusted up, some of the beach towels are thin and cheap, only 1 dish towel,1 dish cloth and a used dish sponge provided. The bed linens in general are not worthy of a luxury rental rating.
Of the 3 hair dryers provided 1 didn't work, the 2nd couldn't even dry my bald spot and the 3rd is missing the rear safety shroud on the fan which ensnared a large chunk of my wife's hair. Travel with a wife and 2 teen daughters and that my friends is a significant deficiency.
It would be helpful if the there were some basics provided on arrival. We too run a vacation property business(our weekly rate is 1/4 of this unit, but Michigan is not Aruba) and provide the dish, hand and laundry soaps as well as leaving the kitchen stocked with basic condiments and spices beyond salt and pepper. Not cost significant (easily covered by a $25 up-charge per week) but our guests find it extremely convenient upon their arrival after a long travel day.
Again , loved our trip, the location, beach and complex are amazing(5 star). With a little investment in appropriate upgrades to match the description given and expectation created I could easily have been be persuaded to have rated the unit equally well : will have to settle for 4 stars.
Our group of 10 (8 adults, 2 children) had a fantastic time at the condo. We were a little nervous at first about having to cross a road to get to the beach. It was not a problem at all. Eagle beach is absolutely amazing. We loved being able to get a palapa every day. While the condo did have plastic chairs to bring to the beach, most of us paid the hotel next door for nice chaise loungers. The 2nd kitchen came in very handy with 10 of us being in the condo. The view, the pools, the amenities in the condo were all great. We had rented 3 vehicles and did not have a problem parking at the complex. The only negative I have, is that there is no where for a big group to all sit to have a dinner or play games. The island in the kitchen did have stools, but not enough for everyone to sit at one time. Other than that, we absolutely loved everything about the place. The on island contact Juan Carlos gave us great pointers as far as restaurants, and brought additional towels and keys when we requested them. I would not hesitate to book this fabulous condo again.
This was our second time staying in Aruba for an extended period, but we did the high rise hotel thing last time. This was much better. I thoroughly enjoyed the location and the proximity to the beautiful and less crowded beach. Definitely get a rental car if you stay here, as there isn't much nearby, but that is also part of the appeal, plus you'll want to explore the island anyway.
The property was clean, and the staff were very friendly. The condo provided plenty of room for our party and we took advantage of the separated balconies for some nice time apart. The condo had all the necessary amenities, and we used the laundry quite often, as you might expect. The one complaint there was that the dryer had to be pulled into the hallway in order to work, but we made due.
As you'll need to do some shopping, pick your times wisely. We got stuck at the Super Foods at a bad time and it was a miserable experience. I think everyone on the island arrived at the same time. A nice option might be if a service could provide the bare necessities for a minimal upcharge so that they're there at check-in and could save the immediate trip to the store (detergent, toilet paper, dish soap, milk, etc.), just the basics to get you by for a day or two. Maybe this is too hard to organize though. Otherwise, maybe look at some of the other stores. Each has its own unique selection and positives and negatives.
Regardless, we had a blast and even though we spent two weeks there, we didn't want to leave. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to any friends.
While on the island, we really enjoyed the donkey sanctuary and seeing the goats over by the windmill farm. It was very beautiful there. One of our favorite restaurants ended up being one we just stumbled upon called Don Pincho's. Get the tenderloin pincho and you'll be grateful, just be sure to have cash, as they don't take credit.
Otherwise, just explore, have fun, and relax. You have to love Aruba!
This Condo was terrific. It was huge, had a great view of the pool and the beach, was steps from a beach that was itself beautiful and uncrowded. With a car, you are literally ten minutes at the most from the major hotels and a great supermarket, with a fine restaurant, the Screaming Eagle a block away, and a casino, the Alhambra easily walkable, about 3/4 of a mile away. The Condo was clean, had all the conveniences you need, excellent wifi in the unit itself, excellent A/C for the hotter days. Nice, A/C gym that we used, pools were well maintained. Caretaker, Juan Carlos always available if we had questions.
Even the further reaches of the Island, the Lighthouse, the Nature Park and Donkey Sanctuary, took us less than half an hour to reach.
No doubt that if/when we return to Aruba, if this condo is still available, we would try to rent it again.
