Tons to do within a short distance. Championship golf courses are minutes away. Shopping, restaurants and history museums as well as 'the rock' are right down the road in downtown Plymouth. Also at the waterfront, book a sightseeing cruise, whale watch, fishing charter or ferry boat to Provincetown. It's a quick jaunt to the cape for more points of interest; Heritage gardens in Sandwich, N.O.A.A in Woods Hole, shopping and dining in Hyannis or take a ferry to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket. Take a short drive into Boston for the theater, children's museum, aquarium and Imax or dining on the North end. Malls and major shopping are all within a few exits of the beach house, or stay close to the beach and head up the street to St. Bonaventure church, the general store or the ice cream shoppe! Priscilla Beach Theater is around the corner as well as the local library and school playground for a change of scenery. No matter the season or the weather there is plenty to do here on vacation!!!

This was a dream property for me, waking up with the sea outside my window, going to sleep with the sound of the sea...I have always wanted to live by the sea, and it was very, very hard to leave this beautiful place at the end of our stay.

The house had a family-feel to it, was comfortable, had everything we needed. It was in a great location, though you need a car. We spent most of our time playing on the beach with our toddler. The beach was quiet and safe and when the tide was out there were fabulous rock pools to explore and shallow waters to paddle in. There are plenty of local attractions though, places to shop, eat etc. We had many, many fresh lobsters from the local lobster shack - delicious!

I would definitely recommend this property. We had a perfectly lovely holiday here.

The ideal family vacation

I grew up on this beach and now live out of state, off shore, and I wanted to provide a beach experience for my children. Our time on WHB has proven to be the best family vacations we have ever taken! The accommodations are lovely, well kept, clean, nautical, and the location is ideal. What makes this spot extra special is that it is beach front, yet nestled in with other rental cottages so the kids make friends quickly and their beach experience is heightened with memories of friends and beach fun.
Even a rainy day at this cottage on this beach is better than almost any other day of the year any where else! We love it.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Great beach house

This was a great house right on the beach. We had two families staying in the house and we had plenty of room. Since it was two floors you could easily split up by family or by parents and kids. The two living areas were also nice. It was clean and well maintained.

We could let the kids play on the beach and watch them from the deck. We loved the fact that it had decks on both the first and second floor. The top deck was perfect for star gazing.

A minor downside was that the stairs down to the beach were not there when we stayed at the house. We had to climb down the rocks or go a few feet down the beach to a set of stairs.

The owners were very responsive to all of my questions and easy to work with.

We would definitely stay in this house again.

Fabulous location for watching the ocean and sunrises.
In the summer children and teenagers could play endlessly on the beach where the slope is very gentle, nice sand, wonderfully diverse rocks to find, and beach fires are still allowed!
Nearby Plymouth is extremely interesting also.
