The Hideaway has all the comforts of home in this secluded two story true log cabin with porches on both levels, lower 27'x42' deck, 2 fire pits, high speed Internet access, widescreen flat panel LCD/ HDTVs in the Game Room & main level family room, TV in queen bedroom, Premium HDTV Cable package, movies, 7' pool table, air hockey, X-Box 360 Elite HD with 12 games, gym membership & even a treadmill. The downstairs Game Room, bedroom with KING size bed and master bath gives the young adults the privacy to play the night away, listen to music, watch TV or relax in the hot tub while listening to the sounds of nature & the nearby stream. Enjoy frequent sightings of deer & wild turkey while relaxing on the porch swings, or hiking the nearby Benton MacKay Trail. The property is located on 2.5+ acres.

Antler Ridge Hideaway Cabin: The cabin is a true log cabin, located near the top of Laurel Ridge Mountain (3,000 elevation) in Blue Ridge, Georgia. The views you see in photos are indeed the view from both porches and decks, hot tub and all interior rooms except the twin bed bedroom. The upper level of the cabin has the deck with seating areas, screened porch with swing and rockers, living and dining area, fireplace, wide screened TV, kitchen, bedroom #1 with two twin beds, full bathroom and bedroom #2 with queen bed & TV.

The lower level of the cabin has the game area with pool and air hockey table, treadmill, laundry room with washer/dryer, another family sitting area with queen sleeper sofa with box spring mattress (sleeping area #3), gas log fire place, wide screen TV, X-Box 360 Elite HD with games and controllers, master bedroom #4 with king sized bed and master bathroom. Off the Game Room area is the lower level porch and the huge 27’ by 42’ deck with seating/rockers/swings, hot tub and a picnic table with umbrella.

The cabin is on 2.5 + acres, secluded and has mountain views of Rich Mountain and uninhabited national forest lands. It is not in a gated community, nor do you have close neighbors (YOU DO NOT SEE OTHER CABINS FROM OUR CABIN). There is no cabin to our left. The cabin to our right is several acres away and over a hill. You have over 50 acres of “no neighbors”. You do not see the road from our cabin, yet you do not feel totally isolated. Unlike may cabins near the top of a mountain, the Hideaway has plenty of level land for children, pets and family to walk around, run and play with no sudden drop offs.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The four days we were here were awesome!! The view was just beautiful. We liked he porch swing with the trampoline springs, the lounge chairs were super comfy, especially as we snuggled in a blanket and watched the stars. The hot tub was great and the rope lighting came in handy in the evenings. We saw deer, turkeys, hummingbirds, fire flies and a cute little fox came to visit every night as we sat by the fire pit. We hiked, tubed on the Taccoa, shopped the antique and art stores and stared at the beautiful mountains as we soaked in the hot tub. We will be back!!

Antler Ridge Hideaway is a MUST STAY!

  • 5 of 5

The house was everything the ad says it is and more. The view of the mountains is breathtaking. The house is secluded on the side of the mountain which makes for a romantic getaway. Very clean and included nice amenities such as a Hot Tub!, flat screen HDTV, gas grill, pool table, which we all used!

The cabin is very close to a lot of good hiking and waterfalls. This is a great place for a romantic peaceful weekend or for the adventure seeker.

Beautiful View and feel

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time here and all around the river and downtown. The property had everything we needed and a beautiful view. This level of seclusion is amazing and can hardly be described in words. Perfect. The owners of the property were fantastic in the way that they communicated and the information and amenity they provided. We will visit their other properties and would recommend this one and the owners to any friends.

Our Perfect First Family Vacation

  • 4 of 5

This was the easiest planned and most pleasant vacation I have ever been on. We are a new blended family with a new baby and two boys (11 and 5) plus our family dog and I was looking for something that could get us all away to spend quality time together without the kids buried in video games and phones all day... this was it.

The pictures are dead on, GORGEOUS view doesn't even begin to describe what you have by simply looking out the cabin windows. We spent an entire day of our vacation in the cabin. We played cards, checkers, pool, and air hockey as a family. We roasted hotdogs in the fire pit for lunch and made smores that evening at dusk. The last day before we left we ventured out to visit the near by Amicalola Falls which was breathtaking. Everything was fine with the cabin, the only things I would say could use a bit of improvement would be an additional TV in the twin bedroom on main level (my kids preferred TV to stay on at night since we were in an unfamiliar place), there were no measuring cups in kitchen and the we had trouble with the gas grill and ended up using the charcoal one instead. The stairs inside from main to lower level are VERY steep. We didn't allow our 5 year old to use these stairs just to be safe (we were able to take him up and down the balcony stairs), but we had the hang of them by the 2nd day. just BE CAREFUL! All in all, I'd happily ignore those small set backs and return to this cabin yearly (or more if we could!) We all were completely content hanging out at the cabin and with two young boys to keep entertained says a lot! (the xbox and wi-fi was definitely helpful from time to time!)

Sandy provided detailed information which I used while we were there. She was always friendly, accommodating (allowed us to check in earlier in day), and prompt in getting back to me when I had questions. Directions to cabin provided by Sandy were excellent. I managed to still make a wrong turn on the mountain as we neared the cabin, but that was by my own doing! I would highly recommend this cabin and these owners for anyone's vacation needs. If you are looking for a place away from it all, with a beautiful view that will keep the kids entertained and with super friendly owners then this is it! Reserve your dates today! Cant wait to return!!

Seclusion, solitude and serenity

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this cabin for two full weeks in early April. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The first thing that takes your breath away is the view! It is spectacular and the outdoor space is set up to enjoy it rain or shine. The upper deck is covered and screened and that where we started each day - listening to the call and response of the morning birds and the stream in the valley. As the sun rose higher, we moved to the lower deck to soak up the sunshine and to relax in the hot tub. The hot tub area is under a covered portion of the lower deck and it was awesome to be in there during a rainstorm! We finished most evenings back on the upper deck as the sun went down and then went inside to enjoy the warmth and glow from the fireplace.

There were only two of us at the cabin on this trip - but the Hideaway is really set up well for an affordable vacation for a family. Because there are two levels and a games room downstairs, everyone can do their own thing without disturbing the others and if you prepare your meals 'in house' it really is an inexpensive holiday. We made all our meals in the fully equipped kitchen and appreciated the new dishwasher! Other days we barbecued our dinners on the impressive grill. After trying to decide which of the 3 bedrooms to choose, we ended up in the upstairs queen and slept with the blinds up all night long. On a couple of nights we awoke to find the moon peaking over the mountain at us.

The excellent, fast wi-fi was also appreciated so we could stay in touch with family back home.

During our stay a new hot tub cover was delivered as was a full load of firewood which just goes to show the constant attention to detail from the owners. ....and speaking of owners, Sandy couldn't have been more helpful. She provided countless emails with lists of activities in the area and helpful tips and promptly answered any questions or concerns.

We highly recommend this cabin and would go back in a heartbeat! Thank you, Sandy for sharing this piece of paradise with us.

Best vacation ever

  • 5 of 5

Antler Ride Hideaway is all it said it is. What a beautiful place to stay. My family had a blast considering this was our first real vacation as a family. The view was to die for, the cabin was warm and cozy with lots of room to move about. the beds was so comfortable I did not want to get up. You can see this cabin is well cared for. It is really a home away from home. I look forward for a future visit to this beautiful home full of natures secrets.

Very clean and secluded mountain cabin

  • 4 of 5

This property was by far the cleanest we've stayed in when renting a cabin. There was enough space for our three boys to move around without cramping us. Our dog was very leery of the steps to the basement and would not go down them. I would not recommend this property for anyone who isn't sure-footed as it is steep inside and out in some areas. The boys did not venture into the woods as they usually do as it was so steep and thorny. One son had a baseball sized bruise from taking the basement stairs too quickly (his fault for not using extreme caution as the signs tell you). The cabin is clean and has everything you might need for cooking, grilling, and relaxing in the hot tub. Bathroom upstairs and down is a plus - keep in mind, the master suite is downstairs which was great for some privacy away from our kids! Buy your own wood prior to arrival as the mountain is dewy and the wood provided gets wet, also take a light with you for the closet downstairs as it's pretty hard to see dresser inside. Air hockey was fun and we ate dinner on the porch one evening overlooking the gorgeous mountain view. Drive slowly and you'll arrive just fine, roads are paved and marked though steep. Sandy was very helpful and easy to reach as needed.
