I've been going to Panama City since I was very young, we always stayed in a condo on front beach or Thomas drive, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked a condo on the far left side of the beach, on back beach road, but Kay assured me it was nice so I took a chance. And I was more than impressed! It slept 4 people wonderfully - 2 in a very nice king sized bed and 2 on a sleeper sofa. They had blankets and extra pillows, plenty of towels and dishes, a washer and dryer and cleaning supplies when we were leaving. My friends were very impressed. It's also, very quite, you're not on the busy tourist streets but a short drive from the tourist attractions. It was also walking distance from a really good restaurant called castaways. The beach access was not crowded so we had no problems finding a place to set up and didn't feel like we were crowding anyone or being crowded. The pool is also half covered which was nice to dip into after being in the hot sun all day. The reason I rated this room a 4 instead of 5 was for the hotel, not the room specifically. It seemed like they were working on everything! They had three elevators, 2 were originally working, but when we got in one day, the doors closed but didn't move. We stood there for a second waiting then hit door open and they did but the elevator was still. So we got out and let the doors shut on their own, but then it moved! Later we saw this one have an out of order sign also. So that brought the condo to only one working elevator. Which made for a very long wait and very crowed elevators. They also had was looked to could be very nice fountains right in the front but both were dry and didn't make for a pleasent first sight apon first arrival. Parking was also limited but they didn't mind you pulling up to the door for loading or unloading. Over all, room 510 was awesome. My girlfriend said to me before we left if we could stay again next year, and I don't see why not.
Owner's Response: Thank you, Whitney, for your review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the condo and Pinnacle Port. The old fountains are in the process of being removed due to the age and mechanical problems. The owners are voting on how to replace them to make the lobby more inviting. The 3 elevators are also being refurbished on the inside walls and one is out of service while it is being worked on. I'm not sure what happened on the day you were there but I'm sure it was a busy holiday weekend and bad timing for an elevator to have problems. I glad you enjoyed your stay and want to return next year!
