Vitorino I is an apartment within a property located at the highest point of the village of Penedo, a typical Portuguese village in the Serra de Sintra. The village is situated in an unexplored, peaceful and calm area. Penedo is located within the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, between Almoçageme and Aldeias de Colares.

Penedo is the highest village in the Serra de Sintra, with a privileged view over the landscape of the Natural Park. This is an ideal place for travelers looking for a place away from problems, in contact with nature.

Its privileged location allows people to reach important tourist spots in a short period of time, from the coast (4 km) to the city (35 km)

The area around the property is ideal for nature lovers: you can simply walk along the forest paths or, for people with a good level of fitness, ride a bike in the uneven mountain landscape (some bike circuits are nearby).

The apartment has a comfortable bedroom with a double bed. The living / dining room has an open and spacious kitchen.
The living area has a sofa that can be used as a single or double bed. The kitchen is fully equipped (coffee maker, juice maker, dishwasher, washing and drying machine, refrigerator, microwave, etc.).

The house is located on one of the highest points of the property, with stunning views of the sea and the landscape of Sintra. Each corner of the garden has a unique view of the sea or the hills. Even when you open the front door or windows of the house, you face the ocean or small villages in the distance. It has a spacious terrace, exclusive for guests, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the view.

The garden is divided into two areas, connected by a gate, both with barbecue grills. One of the gardens is private for guests; So, if you have a well-behaved pet, you can bring it with your family. The second garden is shared with the owners, it includes a swimming pool overlooking the coast (from Praia das Maçãs to Ericeira), the Serra de Sintra (Pena Palace and Castelo dos Mouros) and some typical villages.

The house is ideal for couples or families up to four (2 adults and 2 children).

We strongly recommend hiring a car, as there are many places to visit within a 40 km range:

UNESCO World Heritage Center: Sintra's cultural landscape (includes Sintra Village, Pena Palace, Castelo dos Mouros, Setiais Palace, Monserrate Palace, Quinta das Regaleiras, Capuchos Convent, etc.) - 8 km across the roads forestry areas.

Beautiful beaches: Adraga 4 km; Praia Grande 5.5 km; Praia das Maçãs at 7 km, Praia da Aguda at 12 km, Magoito at 14 km; Winch 14 km, etc.

Important points: Cabo da Roca (the westernmost point of continental Europe) 8 km, Cascais 18 km, Estoril 20 km, Mafra 32 km, Lisbon 35 km, etc.

Parking is available inside the property, but if you prefer, you can leave the car outside, as many locals / visitors do. Please note that access to the property is via an unpaved sloping road.
A normal car passes without difficulties.

In the village of Penedo you will only find a local restaurant. For basic shopping, the nearest supermarket is in Almoçageme, about 2 km away. In the area are local markets with fresh vegetables and fruits, wines and all other supplies.

During summer nights, kermises are organized in most villages in the region.
