Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday apartment in South Kensington - Cranley Gardens IV
2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Home Mixes Period Features And A Bright, Modern Aesthetic
From rich raspberry and cherry to smooth chocolate and coffee – Cranley Gardens IV has a colour palette deserving of a dessert tray. But it’s not the only tasteful thing about this home. Its traditional trimmings range from ottomans to candlesticks, china teacups to antique chests of drawers, while the pretty balcony is the spot for an al fresco supper or two. With South Kensington’s museums nearby, and Chelsea’s boutiques and eateries, you’re also well-placed for more urban delights.
An interior designer and property developer, your host knows the makings of a stylish home. She has lived in beautiful ones across the world, but always returns to visit her daughter and grandchildren in London.
Cherry on top
This home has been iced to perfection with shimmering pink kitchen tiles and textured espresso wallpaper. In the sitting room you’ll find two soft sofas and a fuchsia orchid beside the window, and just beyond there’s an elegant dining area with a table set for four.
You might lose a lazy afternoon to the serene, decked balcony lined with greenery, or when you see the twin bedroom’s chocolate walls and the master’s traditional furnishings you might oft for deep, delicious slumber instead.

About Owner/Property Manager
onefinestay gives you the chance to stay in someone's place while they're out of town. You get to live their life for a few days and nights.
Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room. And there's service to match.
Nobody wants to be a tourist, so our homes come with recommendations from the people who live in them. For everything else, we're here 24/7.
Why Owner/Property Manager chose South Kensington
Mention South Kensington and most Londoners get a vivid, albeit contrasting, picture of a centre of learning and top-end shopping in their minds. But it is this amalgam that lends the area its charm.
Distending from the tube station to the museum quarters on Cromwell Road/Exhibition Road and the graceful streets and private gardens in between, South Ken packs in moon rocks at the Science Museum and rock oysters at the Bibendum bar in an effortless swoop.
The museums (V&A, Natural History, Science Museum and Baden-Powell House) form part of the heritage from the Great Exhibition of 1851.
Exploring all the nooks and crannies of these institutions would take months, and require the spirit of the intrepid Victorian explorers who brought home many of the treasures here, but even a quick dip in the tapestry-hung walkways of the V&A or a gaze at how small the lander that brought Armstrong and Aldrin to the moon really is at the Science Museum, provides enough stimulation to last a whole day.
The streets around the tube are booby-trapped with touristy eateries, so for more sensory stimulation, aim for the recently named Brompton Road Design District with destination shops like Skandium, Squint, Mint and B&B Italia, before ducking into Daphne's on Draycott Avenue for Sardini Grigliati and a glass of prosecco.
