This apartment is fully furnished to a very high standard, which includes a fully equipped kitchen, digital TV, stereo and hot/cold air-conditioning. The apartment has two bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms. The main bedroom also has a walk in wardrobe. The lounge is 600 sq. feet and has a king size sofa bed, which means the apartment can sleep six people. Bedroom one has a double bed while the second bedroom has two single beds. The apartment comes with a parking space in the under ground garage which is accessed through an automatic garage door. There is a good sized terrace bringing the overall size of the apartment to almost 1600 sq. feet. There are both adults (2) and children's (1) swimming pools. One adults heated pool. The apartment is on the ground floor and there are only 4 steps to be negotiated between the apartment and the entrance to the complex. There is an abundance of shops and restaurants with in 100 mtrs and these include a proper full size supermarket. Marbella

Sight Seeing: Some attractions within easy driving distance are: Gibraltar...for it duty free shopping. Benahavis.... A lovely Andalucian village with a great selection of restaurants and Ronda ..... A historical mountain town famous for its spectacular gorge. You can take a day Trip to Morrocco from the ferry terminal beside Gibraltar. There is also the Selwo safari Park,an experience to be enjoyed by all ages.

Shopping and Golfing: The following are several outstanding shopping areas to be explored.

La Canada Shopping centre. Marbella town centre, San Pedro town centre,El Court Ingles, Marina Banus, Hippercor, as well as the flee markets in San Pedro on Wednesdays and Puerto Banus Bullring on Saturdays.

You are located at the entrance to the area known as Golf Valley in Nueva Andalucia. It will take no longer than 5 minutes to drive to any of the nearby very popular courses of Aloha,Los Naranjos,La Quinta and Las Brisas. For somebody a little less serious about the game or easing into a holiday, the nine hole'La Dama De Noche' course is also very close by. You are with in a maximum one hour drive from another 25 quality courses stretching from Torrequebrada back towards Malaga, to Valderrama as you drive towards Gibraltar.

Getting There: You will be provided with detailed instructions to get to the apartment from Malaga Airport. Our representative will meet you and show you to your apartment. Taxi transfer from the airport can also be arranged if you so desire. About The Owner

We are a husband and wife with 3 children living in Dublin, Ireland. Our daughters are currently aged 6,13 and 17 and have all grown or are growing up in this apartment. As they get older they all grow to love it a little bit more every year and still get excited every time we travel their.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2001

Why The Owner chose Nueva Andalucia

We choose this property and location when the children were very young. We wanted an apartment which was convenient for a family with young children and were we could walk to the surrounding restaurant's and shops. The Idea was that the kids would fall asleep in the buggy while we walked to the restaurant for dinner. It worked a treat !!!

What makes this apartment unique

Ground floor, nice terrace, no steps and heated pool. We really love the very large lounge, I can even remember the kids roller blading in it on several occasion.

In need of upgrading desperately !

Well,,we looked at previous reviews but now realise that many were from a few years ago, when perhaps the apartment was in better condition. Booking was very easy and Brendan did give directions and list of eating places etc.. On arriving at the apartment the first thing we noticed was the damp fusty smell as soon as we opened the front door, also the smell of sewerage not very nice. We were disappointed at the state of the decor, the walls were in need of painting filthy marks everywhere. Suite in lounge was filthy as were curtains pelmets and netting, Suite also had large cigarette burn on it. As for the terrace well first thing we did was wash/hose the area as filthy, sun loungers were so badly stained you didn't even want to sit on them, weeds everywhere, very little sunlight and very narrow really a waste of time as not much sun, Holes in walls at shower also. like any investment u must maintain the property to a reasonable standard when you are letting your apartment out. the location was nice however these apartments tend to all face into large brick walls no nice view or out look and very little sun. Handy for supermarket but also like a previous review it stated has wifi and clearly doesn't we checked this out with Brendan but Brendan's response to this in review from a few years ago was that he would get this removed .The one thing we cannot show however is the damp musty smell in the apartment which was overwhelming to say the least. Initially within five minutes of being in the apartment I broke my heart how anyone could let an apartment in this poor state of repair. We could have been at many other apartments for same price which were maintained to a high standard as when we were there we did view several for our next trip. So if considering this apartment if you like sitting in a nice terrace enjoying the view you do NOT have any view or much sun if you want to enjoy a nice fresh clean apartment you will not wish to stay here Thankfully we were able to walk to Puerto Banus every day get the catamaran to Marbella or just go for nice long walks the weather was great and great,location but you do need to get a taxi back, which is very reasonable so hopefully after reading this review you can make up your own mind but I suggest you do look elsewhere

Owner's Response: Dear Guest. Wow where to start!!! We are extremely surprised at your review and disappointed that you did not enjoy our apartment. However you arrived on the 29/3/15 and until you posted your review on the 15/5/15 we had zero communication from you either negative or positive, a considerable amount of time later given the negative comments your review gives to our home. You did not inform us of any of the disappointments you had when you arrived and the subsequent opportunity to deal with and rectify your complaints. All we can say on top of the above is sorry that you did not enjoy our holiday home and that it did not meet with your expectation’s We hope our potential future guests follow all the other current positive reviews of our home as opposed to this one negative review. This is the only negative review we have received to date. There are three reviews from last year’s guests and one from this year including this one so the reviews are current. The photography is current and a true representation; we do have Wi-Fi (Paid locally) as advertised you just have to log on and pay!!. The terrace furniture was replaced last summer as was the TV and the bed in the master Suit, demonstrating that we do continually upgrade and maintain the apartment. We do not advertise a view from the terrace and to refer to it as a waste of time is just not accurate. We have personally hosted BBQ’s for several family’s on this terrace which gets the sun from 9am till 1pm each day. We cannot change the light aspect of the apartment, in country’s such as Ireland and England a southern aspect is usually beneficial, however in Spain this is not the case given the climate and is the main reason most houses have very small windows to the southern aspect thus helping to cool the house during the summer months. We have taken these comments on Board and will review and investigate them all to make improvements where ever possible. Best regard Brendan

Wonderful holiday in La Maestranza Puerto Banus

We had a memorable time in La Maestranza, Puerto Banus. The apartment is very large as described. It has the modern conveniences that you will need. It is a very secured place to stay. The apartment complex is beautiful!

For us who did not rent a car, it was convenient to take public buses. We even got to go to Ronda by taking a bus #78 or #79 to San Pedro. There is a kiosk to buy ticket to Ronda. It is also the same place to get a ticket to Seville and other nearby towns.

We enjoyed strolling along the coastline in Puerto Banus, A lot of restaurants along the way. We walked up the hill and down the hill. Please wear comfortable shoes.

There is supermarket very close to the apartment, 3 minutes away. It has everything you need and very reasonable prices. There is also a specialty store GOODIES nearby. Located on the right of the round about, left of the apartment complex, front gate. El Corte Englis shopping mall is near the coastline.

There is also Regina restaurants that has live music during dinner time. And many more restaurants in the vicinity of the complex.

Overall we had a memorable stay. I will definitely stay in this apartment again. I recommend others to stay.

Wonderful week in Puerto Banus

We had a lovely week in this apartment. It was very spacious and clean and was ideal for our 2 year old who was able to roam about safely.

The whole apartment was comfortable and well furnished and we would definitely consider returning again.

Two Week Break

Very clean apartment, everything needed for a self catering holiday is there. The pool areas very good too.

The location is ideal, Puerto Banus only 15 mins walk away, fantastic Sat market at El Centro, 5 mins walk away which also has some very good restaurants & cafes.

Cafe Pasta superb, a couple of minutes walk from either the top or bottom gate of the complex. The food & service there very,very good.

Also a very good Mercadona supermarket 5 minutes away.

If you do not have a car getting to Marbella is so easy on the L1 from Puerto Banus Hipercor which you can either walk to or take the L4 from the complex to Perto Banus Hipercor.

Good home from home

We stayed at the property for 7 days and would definitely stay here again when we return.

The apartments are very secure, well maintained and have a communal feel rather than a hotel complex. Ideally situated a short walk away from Puerto Banus with all amenities on the door step from supermarket to cafes and restaurants which means you don't have to venture to far if a lazy break is what you are looking for.

It is also an easy commute from Airport to apartments as well as being well served for connecting to other places of interest such as Marbella, Mijas and other beach resorts along the coast.

What it says on the tin

The description of this apartment was surprisingly accurate. In my experience of self-catering vacations there is usually found some exaggeration somewhere in the promotional copy but in this case you really get what is promised. The apartment lies within a pristinely kept small to medium community which on the whole is quiet and convenient to Puerto Banus and Marbella plus the main east-west route along the Costa. An added bonus is the well-stocked local supermarket virtually next door.

The premises itself was clean, tidy, comfortably furnished and pleasantly decorated and above all, roomy. If a drawback had to be found it was that the small patio facing inwards afforded no view and one had morning sun for breakfast as opposed to an evening one for wine. But this perhaps is a quibble considering the amenities provided such as washing machine, dishwasher, and Sky TV - and not forgetting, space. Outside, the pool garden area was more than compensation.

The community turned out to be ideal for my mother who has a mobility problem (NB not wheelchair) which has always made rental choices difficult. The ease of access via the underground car park with lift and the convenient size and layout of the grounds all helped to make things easier, not to mention the generous proportions of the apartment and of course it being on the ground floor. (The caveat for mobility is that there are steps to negotiate to exit on foot via the gates provided as pedestrian exits. We were happy with entering and leaving by car when day tripping, thus using the lift).

Finally, there was good communication with the owner who took the trouble to make contact and also provide you with much information. On the whole this property turned out to be quite a find, a fact which I believe you could agree with when you come to stay there yourself.

Puerto Banus is located just west of Marbella.This is the place to be pampered yacht-side and ogle those fabulous luxury yachts while sipping a drink at one of the many open air restaurants and bars. The area features a casino, commercial shopping centre, El Corte Ingles department store,marine observatory and every Saturday morning at the Bullring is a very popular street market where you can pick up all sorts of bargains. Puerto Banus is the most famous marina in Spain, it does not have any industrial traffic and does not import or export any thing However what it does have is glitz.Several of the world renowned fashion houses are featured here in addition to small interesting shops and boutiques.Night life buzzes with your choice of alfresco bars,piano clubs and discos.

If you really want to have a birds eye view of the marina's magnificent position, then there are regular boat trips available from the central promenade.The beach adjacent to Puerto Banus holds a European blue flag.
