Very spacious
We very much enjoyed our stay in Barcelona at Dolor’s property. We were a party of 9 and there was more than enough space for us all. The property is very large and over 3 floors. The top 2 for bedrooms/ bathrooms and downstairs for the large kitchen, dining area, living room, garden and an extra bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped for everything we needed and there was plenty of chairs for us all to sit together to eat round the table. The garden was lovely to have and a safe place for the children – quite a suntrap! There was a lot of bathrooms which is nice when there are quite a few people sharing a property. The house was nice and clean, towels and bedding all provided. The beds were very comfortable. There is central heating/ air conditioning at the property, depending what time of year you go. There is also a washing machine and dishwasher at the property so we took tablets for those to use in our cases. Dolors also provided us with a travel cot with bedding in.
There is a small convenience store just at the side of the property which was ideal to nip to for essentials (bread/ wine/ ice cream 😀). There was a bigger supermarket over the bridge and up the hill to the right, approx. 5/10 mins walk – we got everything we needed from there for the week. There is a very nice bakery at the side of the supermarket. Again walking up towards the bridge you can get buses into the centre very easily – they are regular and take about 20 mins – it was our preferred method of transport with a pram. The underground metro was again only a 5/10 mins walk away and this was much quicker to get into the centre – about 8 mins. We used this when going to Las Ramblas. The property is located about 5 mins walk from the back entrance of Parc Guell – we used this entrance and saw parts of the parc we would have otherwise never discovered. You can walk down through the park to get to the front entrance – about 10 mins walk (or 20 with children!). There is also a small children’s park located just a few minutes’ walk from the house which our children very much enjoyed.
While we were there Dolors was really helpful with any questions ie where to go in the evenings nearby. Dolors responded incredibly quickly every time.
After returning home I realised I had left something at the property and Dolors has arranged to send this home to me which is very kind.
The helpfulness and quick responses from Dolors are superior to other properties I have rented 😀
