Recently refurbished apartment in a small, mainly residential complex. Ideal for a relaxing family holiday or romantic break. Located away from noisy tourist areas, but within easy walking distance of Cabopino Harbour, shops, bars and superb restaurants. The newly completed Coastal Walkway, 6km between La Cala and Cabopino, runs alongside the apartment beach. The main double bedroom and the lounge have patio windows which afford fabulous views of the Med. These both open onto the large private terrace, which is ideal for 'al fresco' eating, lounging on the sunbeds, watching over the children in one of the 2 family pools or simply enjoying the view. The terrace is south west facing so gets the sun virtually all day. A stroll through the gardens leads to a clean, sandy beach complete with an excellent beach bar and restaurant, sunbeds and sun umbrellas. The modern kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom has a full sized bath with shower over. All spotlessly clean. A car isn't essential if you're planning a lazy holiday, as all amenities are within walking distance. Climate: The Costa del Sol is named the sunny coast for good reason. It enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine per year. Even the winter months are generally warm and pleasant. Naturally, it can sometimes be wet or windy, but its a great way of escaping our freezing wintry weather. The apartment is heated, but you'll probably only need it for those clear, cool winter evenings. April, May, June, Sept and October are lovely months with sunny weather, but without the extreme heat of high summer. Ideal for children. Temperatures during July and August can be very high and care needs to be taken in the sun. For your comfort the apartment is air-conditioned.

Getting there: Flights to Malaga airport are plentiful and generally inexpensive. From Malaga airport it is around 25 minutes drive. To make life easier, an airport transfer service is available at a cost of around 100 Euro return. Hire cars may be collected from the airport. Several Car hire companies operate from the airport. But book on internet for bargains. There is an excellent train service to Fuengirola from the airport and then a bus service which runs every 20 minutes past the front of the apartment, from Marbella to Fuengirola. The bus stop is in front of the complex. Fares are low, but its not suitable for families with lots of luggage as the buses don't have much storage space.

Suitability: Ideally suited to families or couples seeking a quiet and relaxing beach holiday but with access to local attractions. Secure gardens with two swimming pools and two kiddies paddling pools all with sunbeds. The mainly residential nature of the apartments mean no large groups of noisy tourists. Bars and restaurants are close enough to get to on foot, but far enough away to cause no disturbance. The majority of my visitors simply enjoy relaxing on the terrace, lazing around the pool or wandering through the gate onto the safe, sandy beach. They may visit one of the excellent 'Chiringuitos' or beach bar/restaurants or enjoy a stroll along the Coastal Walkway or along the water's edge to Cabopino Marina. For winter visitors, it is ideally situated to get around the Costa Del Sol either by car or by public transport. Apartment is on 1st floor and accessible by lift so suitable for elderly or disabled. Accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, although there is a small step in the hallway.

We enjoyed you apartment very much and mostly ate out on the terrace. We got another parasol which helped to keep us all shaded. Kerry's cafe opposite gave us some of the best food we,ve ever had out.

Great location

We had an excellent stay at the apartment. The location was perfect for us right on the beach and situated just behind Luna Beach bar and restaurant. Great staff good food and just on your doorstep. The apartment has a lovely huge terrace with great sea views. The main bedroom is lovely and light and opens onto the balcony. The 2nd bedroom is a twin which is a reasonable size too. Nice bathroom with good shower and plenty of space. Kitchen area small but has all you need. We mostly ate out at the excellent beach bars which are good and reasonably priced. Nice beach and easy walk along to Cabo Pino and beyond. It's a great place if you are happy to walk along the beach which we did for miles in either direction. The apartment is 5mins over the road from shops, ATMs, and a few cafés. Nice safe secure apartment block in good location would recommend.

Above average apartment in an ideal location

If you don't want to drive on holiday, then this apartment is ideal. The bus stop to Fuengirola is at the front of the block and the one to Marbella is across the footbridge also immediately in front of the block. The buses are every 30 min. and quite fast and comfortable. From Fuengirola you can get other buses to Malaga, Mijas and Ronda. The footbridge also takes you to the Los Cipreses shoppinf area which includes a Spersol, a Lidl, cafes and a large bazaar shop, which sells everything you may want on holiday. The living room and the main bedroom have full glazing with doors onto the unusually large terrace which overlooks Luna Beach. There is a very pleasant tree lined walk to Cabopino. I am awarding 4 stars because although eveything else is very good, the kitchen area lighting is poor, which makes evening food preparation less easy. However, If i plan to stay in Calahonda again, I will seek to rent this apartment.

Very nice stay in this appartment.

We have stayed in this appartement for ten days. It is very clean and complete. It has everything to make sure your stay will be pleasent. Shops are within walking distance. The beach is very near. The terrace is very large and gives you much privacy.

Area not fit for disabled

Just come back from a months stay here, while the apartment was fit for the disabled, the area wasn't, definetly not a wheelchair. Also in the kitchen facilities it states there is a oven, there isn't, there is a microwave combi oven.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your valuable feedback. I have had several disabled guests who have enjoyed their stay. I imagine that they used the bus service, a hire car or taxis to get around. However, I realise it would be difficult to use a wheelchair on the beach or on some of the paths in the area.
I am sorry that the microwave combi oven and grill was unsuitable for you. If you had contacted my manager during your stay, as my 'guests brochure' suggests, she would have resolved this problem for you. In response to your comment, I have now installed a small traditional fan oven and grill.

The Luna Beach restaurant is highly recommended with excellent food, and weekend Flamenco Shows.We are situated 15 Km from Marbella, in Calahonda area. 25 min. drive from Málaga Airport, (airport transfers are available if required) A hire car or local excursion enables easy access to pretty Andalucian villages, the Barbary apes of Gibraltar, the stunning old town of Ronda, or further afield Cadiz, Seville and the Alhambra Palace at Granada. A newly built zoo, two water parks, a sea life centre are all within 15mins drive or take a bus from the front door. A wide range of lively bars and restaurants are 500 metres away in Calahonda, or sample the fabulous nightlife of Marbella or Puerto Banus.
