Come away for a time of relaxation & rejuvenation at our Creekside Cottage in the Land of Waterfalls, Transylvania County, NC. Fish in the stocked private pond; wade in the bold creek that winds through our five-and-one-half acre property; play a game of horseshoes or badminton in the large open field, or just relax in a rocking chair by the fireplace.
We also provide maps of the local area as well as books for finding those special waterfalls and birding books as well as hiking trails.
We have been sharing our cottage with special guest for over 10 years and have over 100 happy guest reviews.
Please take time to watch the video of our property as well as the video of the surrounding area of Brevard, and the land of waterfalls. You can take a five minute drive to view a beautiful waterfall, or just sit down by the creek in the swing and listen to the bold creek running swiftly by. The cottage is an easy 30 minute drive to many local attractions, including waterfalls, lakes, golf courses and gorgeous mountain drives.
My husband and I live in Homosassa,Florida. We love the mountains and we love staying in our cottage when we vacation.
Sandra purchased this cottage in 2005
We choose this area because we have a daughter in the area, and we love the mountains/streams/waterfalls. There is so much natural beauty and we never get tired of enjoying it.
Our family has found the perfect get-away we so badly need from time to time! Creekside Cottage has been such a blessing through the years. We have celebrated birthdays, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and "just because" weekends at this amazing, cozy cottage. Fishing in the stocked pond, wading in the singing creek that surrounds the property, walks, waterfalls, or just cuddling by the fire with a good book are what we love about going there. The cottage has everything we need, and is always clean. We look forward to going back again.
This place is a gem if you want peace and quite and away from it all. The place was as advertised and was very comfortable. We enjoyed watching the birds at the feeders, all the bears (not alive) in the house and sound of the stream nearby. We would recommend the home for anyone and look forward to coming back
This is the third time my husband and I have stayed in this home. The day we arrived, it was raining! For the next four days of our vacation, it rained, but we still had an awsome ttime. We absolutely love this cabin! I especially loved the new sofa, as we got some much needed rest, and that is where I rested, so comfy. I would recommend this to all, but then ya'll might take away my time there! :-) if you go, you will love it. The fishing is great too, good eating! :-)
Spent a wonderful weekend at the Creekside Cottage. We came up for a family reunion. We have been staying at different places over the years but this was a true find. Gave you a feeling of serenity from the start. Loved sitting on the porch watching the birds at the feeders and hearing the trout stream so close by. Feeding the trout was great. Wanna come back for sure & have a trout dinner cooked at the fire pit next to the trout stream. All the amenities were great. Needless to say we will be back.
Our family spent 3 weeks at the cabin in July. The weather was perfect and the birds and flowers were so enjoyable. Our Lab loved running in the meadow and stream.
Our cousin from New England joined us for her first visit to the mountains. She is a city girl but loved our quiet cabin. We all enjoyed the cabin amenities and perfect location for day trips. We look forward to coming back next year for our sixth visit!
Beautiful cabin in perfect location. Proximity to town, trout streams, waterfalls was ideal. Creekside is far enough out of town to feel like your secluded, but close enough to run in and get more marsh-mellows for the smores we made at the perfect firepit. Yard was beautifully landscaped, with bird feeders, a well stocked trout pond, firepit and large grassy area for the kids to run around in! The bedding was plush and rooms were very spacious. The house itself is so roomy it does not feel like a vacation rental.
Creekside cottage has every appliance, cooking utensil and pot or pan you will need, as well stocked cabinets and plenty of fresh CLEAN linens, did I say clean?- VERY. We are already planning our trip back for next year. I highly recommend this cabin. I also recommend doing a tour with Craig, from Millers Land of Waterfall Tours- What an amazing combination!
