The farm is wildlife friendly. We are in an elevated position with uninterrupted views over Romney Marsh and the Rother Valley for 15 miles so it is a photographer's paradise and the skies at night are dark enough for star gazing!
Considering we are only 60 miles from London you would have to go a lot further to find such an idyllic spot.We are thus ideal for short breaks in the low season.
Being a sheep farm there are tiny lambs about in the spring to lighten the heart.
We are close to many Gardener's Gardens such as Christopher Loyds Great Dixter, Sissinghurst, Merriments, Pashley Manor.
Many N.T homes are within an hours drive like Knole, Chartwell, Bateman's, Ellen Terry and Scotney.
There are castles for the children at Bodiam, Hastings, Dover and Cathedrals and the like at Canterbury and Battle Abbey of 1066 fame.
The children will love a ride on the minature steam train that runs along the coast to Dungeness or the big version from Tenterden to Bodiam Castle, or the Rare Breeds petting centre at Woodchurch.
Of course there are pristine sandy beaches at Camber sands and numerous other beaches at Winchelsea Beach, St. Mary's Bay and Hastings. There is a good flat walk at Rye Harbour past the Fishing boats and Rye Bird Reserve.
Lastly the ancient Cinque Port town of Rye set on it's cobbled hill top is a must to visit and Tenterden,'Jewel of the Weald', is full of historic interest and both only a 10 minute drive. They also have indoor swimming pools for the children should the weather be inclement and there are smugglers caves and a sea life centre at Hastings and a cliff lift to the Firehills for walks.
